I know you can, but is it realistic? I want to finish my BA while being a police officer....

Sure, in fact many departments will pay for your education. My department will reimburse you 50% of the total class cost (tuition, books, lab fees, ect) if you get a C in a class, 75% if you get a B and 85% for an A.

Yup, i know a lot of cops that do that. You probably won't be able to work alot of overtime, but if you just work your 40 hours you will have enough time to go to school also. The dept may even pay for it or a at least a portion of it.

You can, but only in a limited enrolled status. Police work is very time consuming. Aside from your scheduled work, there is range time, classes and physical training, court dates and so on. Then your home life. Maybe one or two classes a semester, but 2 may be too liberal...

Yeah, if you can be hired on to a police department. Many officers will take classes part time to complete a bachelors.

It's always difficult to continue your education while working full time, but many have done it..and many will. It's also possible to take some student loans and work part-time while doing your school and many classes are offered on line now. Hang in there...you can do it!

Yes you can, my dad went part time while working as a 3rd shift Lt. and got his law degree, he had 4 kids at the time and it took 6 years but he did it.

It would probably be unrealistic to expect to take a full load of school and work a full time plus job. However nothing forces you to take a full course load. So what if it takes an extra year or two?
