I am 16, and in highschool in the 11th grade
about a month ago I was holding illegal drugs for my friend, it was lunchtime so you can leave campus, so i went to his house to give it back to him, (its down the street from my highschool)
anyways, this is what happened, the school cops came and searched me, even if they find anything the 4th amendment protects u.s. citizens being searched without a reasonable cause
I thought the constitution protects u.s. citizens from this kind of stuff from happening
I mean if it was in the school lockers they can search you, but it was on my being, they had no right of search and seizure
if they can do this to anyone.. what was the point of the u.s. constitution??
even if they find anything illegal on your person, they cannot search and seize it because they had no prob. cause,
I have court in a about a week for a controlled substance and possesion
I want your opinions on this
if your gonna give me crap,
please dont waste your and my time.
thanks

I'm writing a movie script where one of the characters steals confidential data from a telecom company which has national security implications. How long do you think it would be before they used a lie detector on the employees to determine who the thief was? Would it be the first day, on the first round of questioning? Follow-up questions? I want this to be realistic, but would prefer to have as few rounds of questioning as possible, to keep this part of the movie short. But I'll do anything just to make it look real. I'm assuming it will be a private security firm doing the investigation, though I might change it to the FBI.

Any personal experience on this would be helpful. Thanks.

unless you are unemployed or a single Mother you don't get any tax breaks? Why should the rest of us struggle When the government won't offer us any incentives. Is it really so strange for a young famiy to want to give it a go. I'm almost ready to vote conservative cause they are the only party to recognise that this is an issue. I'm 36 so I remember Thatcher!!

I literally cannot afford to take off of work for jury duty...i make so little money and too many bills. I know that your work has to excuse you, but still, i cannot afford it.

The summons say to submit anything pertaining to having to miss jury duty to them in writing.

Is it worth it to explain in a letter that I need to work and make money that day. Should I attatch paystubs? bills too?

Do they take this excuse?

I am most concerned with finishing my degree and perhaps attaining a masters as well. I have been told every good thing that will happen in the Navy from my recruiter. Now I want some other input from people that have been through the Navy that can give me some idea of what it is actually like to serve. I am also concerned with the situation we have going in Iraq and how I will be effected by it while serving in the Navy. Please help with any advice you may have.

I go to Pace University. The cafeteria and preparation of all food is controlled by Lackmann Culinary Services. Their contract says they will provide all food on campus. They run the cafeterias, concession stands at games, cook for campus events and everything else I am missing. Not only does this prevent cultural organizations from getting cultural food cooked properly but Lackmann over charges for everything. Its against the rules for a club to order Dominos wings for a Super Bowl game or for the Carribbean organizations bing in their own dishes like jerk chicken.

12000 meal plans are manditory for underclassmen and 850 plans are required for upper classmen. Lackman charges abou $.31 per ounce for food such as ribs and over prices everything else. A box of mac & cheese is or a bag of peanuts is $5. Thats about 5x more than grocery stores. Even Snickers bars are over priced. Student have no choice though because the required plan is billed to your tuition regardless. Is this legal

I know little about politics, and little about religion.
I have a serious question regarding the separation of the two.

Some of you know what I'm talking about, but out in my neighborhood we're having issues with the church next door and their special land uses (which they're not abiding by). Just recently they changed the voting of two precincts to be held at the church.

My question is this:
Is it against the separation of church and state to hold voting for a political position at a place of worship? Would the church not receive funds from the township for holding the voting of the precincts there? If they don't, I believe that would be considered special treatment by the township (government), which is also not exactly legal.

I need help with this. My mother, along with a gajillion neighbors are writing letters to the board of trustees. I can't necessarily do that, since I am not a township taxpayer or a landowner. I am, however, writing a complaint letter to them fo

I am sadly a Republican who thinks George Bush is the worst thing that ever happend to this country an is only second worst to Jimmy Carter. I believe the Clinton's are nothing but hillbilly Arkansas trash and Hilary would be the ultimate disater for our future. Neither the Dems or the Reps are concerned with the common good and only are after lining their own and their friends pockets. Will and honest person of modest means ever become a leader of the people. I do not see a single candidate who I feel is worthy. We need a nationalist party who will protect our freedoms, secure our boarders and make America the great country it once was.

I am attending a University and one of my friends is illegal and got accepted to the same school as mine. She would not receive any financial aid because of her illegal status. If I were to marry her what would be the proccess I would go through? We are willing to live together and all that stuff. So I want to know if marrying an illegal person would affect me.

I know that most people don't want to "throw" their vote away on some candidate that has no chance to win, but the vicious cycle begins when everybody seems to feel this way, and vote this way. I happen to believe that if everyone voted with their heart, their candidate might not win, but the peoples' wishes would be represented better on the big stage.

I'm a Christian and even though Mitt is not...I'm sure a Muslim is even farther away from my religion than is Mitt. What do you think??? No bashing...or you will be reported.

I did not vote for Bush, think he is wrong for the job. But does anyone believe that he will leave office with Iran having its nuclear facilities intact? should he?

All he has to do, between the election next year and when he leaves office Jan 20th is sign an executive order that Iran's nuclear capabilities pose a clear and present danger to US security, and one of our aircraft carriers can take out everything they have, including their Navy, submarines, and every nuclear facility they have. Will Bush do it? Should he? What do you think?

If you run for president, you raise millions of dollars. I bet it all doesnt get used? Do the candidates get to keep any for personal use after the election? Its funny that a surplus is never reported!
