The only nations I believe are not presently represented in the UN are Somalia (because they have no recognized government system) and Taiwan (because China insists they are not a separate country and most nations in the world have decided not to press the matter because of the subject's sensitivity to China).

No. because UN has some defined standards for putting up a nation in the members list. And this could be the reason why most nations are unable make up the membership.

Currently, I believe the Vatican City is the only sovereign nation that is not a UN member. Taiwan is represented by China.
