I mean seriously....If it was as easy as you all make it sound why does the FBI etc. have problems catching a serial killer? Why do we have ANY felons running loose then?

Police raided the headquarters of a religious sect in central Japan on Monday and arrested 20 women for allegedly beating a member to death, an official said.

Motoko Okuno, 63, died last month at the Kigenkai sect's headquarters in the city of Komoro, allegedly after a mass beating, according to local news reports.

Police arrested the women late Monday on suspicion of injury leading to Okuno's death, according to a Komoro city police official. The official refused to give his name, citing policy.

Kigenkai, founded in 1970, is based on Japan's indigenous Shinto religion. Members sell purified water that they say can cure diseases for about $500 a bottle. It has about 400 members across Japan, according to news reports.

Among those arrested were a girl as young as 15 and a woman as old as 80, according to the Kyodo News agency. Earlier Monday, television video showed police streaming into the sect's headquarters to seize documents and question members.

Some news reports suggested Okuno, who owned a sushi restaurant, was killed as punishment for failing to carry out religious rites.

Police launched an investigation after doctors who examined her bruised body raised the alarm, Kyodo said.

Residents living near the headquarters told public broadcaster NHK they often heard drums beating from the compound.

Religious sects in Japan, a largely nonreligious society, have often been linked to crimes and attacks.

Members of the doomsday cult Aum Shinrikyo released nerve gas in Tokyo's subway system in 1995, killing 12 people. More than a dozen former members face the death penalty in the attack, including cult's former guru, Shoko Asahara. The cult remains under surveillance by authorities

This person, who I'd like to becomes guardian, is actually my girlfriend. She is only 16 and I am not seeing much chance of her being emancipated easily. I think that at 20 I have a good enough job to support her and myself.

Her parents are very intolerant and manipulative, I do understand that a parent is supposed to care and worry for their child, but guilt trips, and practical slavery? Her family could make it on their own without all that she does, but they'd have to start doing it on their own.

They do not physically abuse her, but the mental damage they've done is extreme, and it's taken nearly a year to start to heal those wounds enough for her to even be happy.

I'm open to other suggestions besides guardianship, I'd love any advice anyone could offer me on this situation

Now if that state decides to take samples from him are they violating his Religious beliefs and could he sue if they forced him to do this either by Physical force or demanding him

I been in The USA for 18 years i been brought here since i was 2yrs old and now I’m currently a college student an I’m stuck. I have 4 brothers I’m the oldest and all have been born here except me. My parents are illegally here. When i got out of High school it’s been hard since i been trying to be on my own. I can’t get a job anywhere except in a fast food joint and get paid under the table minimum wage. Which isn’t fair because i studied my *** off thru out H.S. i went out of my way to study extra college courses on weekends and after school. I Became A+ certified Networked certified and Security certified i also learned programming languages and webpage courses. But right when i became 18 my scholarships went out the window. I attempted to open my business and failed. Recently in Arizona Prop 300 was introduced which removed many scholarships that the government funded that are now denied to illegal’s an now im forced to pay out-off state tuition. Which i can’t afford?

I don't have any family in Iraq and I don't know anyone who does. I want to organize something for my theater group -use our audience pull to get donations- but I need to get the information.

Things I've found so far have been along the lines of, "Send us fifty bucks and we'll send a package off," but I want the package to be from my group.

Also, to anyone who's been over there, what did you miss the most that a group of teenagers could send you?

Do we have to bomb Iran just to appease the CFR and the military industrial complex? Doesn't seem like it has much to do with endangering the US.

Last month I was pulled over and found out my license was suspended. I was never notified by DMV or Child support. This was not suppost to happen as I have full custody of my son now, but there was still an open child support case against me from when he lived with his mom. Since then I have taken Child Support to court and was able to have my case closed so they have released my license. This is my first offense, well misdemeanor. I've had speeding and seat belt tickets but nothing this serious. The police officer didn't arrest me or impound my car, she said because I was unaware I was suspended that they can't take me in, so she had me call someone to come pick up my car for me. Do you think I will go to jail for this since it is my first time? Im in California.
