I mean seriously....If it was as easy as you all make it sound why does the FBI etc. have problems catching a serial killer? Why do we have ANY felons running loose then?

Not all illegals are Mexican remember. How do they " round up" millions when they can't catch others?

I guess that means you can't answer my question by your attack on me personally? Too bad...I was really hoping for an answer.

What about OTHER illegals? Or have we forgotten there are OTHERS?

2007-10-16 14:12:30 · update #3

I personally don't believe we'll EVER TOTALLY get rid of illegals in our country. So I guess we either do something to manage this problem or sit around griping for the next million years. Obviously even from answers here we will NEVER be able to find ALL illegals to deport them. So several things must take place to guarantee we at least slow the flow.

It would be impossible and that is why you NEVER hear any of them giving a serious, rational answer. I wouldn't worry about a personal attack from Beach Girl, she is a pod and totally insignificant.

I never said we can round p every illegal immiration, but deportation is an important means to controlling the situation. It's a preventative tool to start. Besides it's easier to catch illegal immigrants since there are 12 million illegal immigrants in our country oppose to finding a few thousand of murderers. I hope there only a few thousand outstanding murderers.

they, the immigration department, does not catch anywhere close to 100 percent of the illegals. They just catch the ones that are unlucky. Either by drowning or having a coyotes car turn over, or are just too tired to hide anymore because of the heat, lack of water, whatever. And probably a serial killer has a lot more to lose if he gets got.

Because hopefully there aren't 20 million murderers running free.

I don't quite see the relevance or comparison of the two. Whether it is or isn't easy isn't really relevant in my book. It simply should and needs to be done, regardless of the difficulty. Besides--what is easy to some is difficult to others, and it doesn't really matter at the end of the day, does it?

It just needs to happen.

Well, how tough is it to "round up" forty or fifty people out of 20 million or so? Not hard at all, just drive a van down to any place where illegal immigrants are looking for work, and they'll hop right in. Doesn't solve anything, of course, but it does look good with the stats. We have murderers of various persuasions running around free. Not that easy to catch one particular person. And if you do catch a felon, they have a lot more rights under US criminal law than any poor illegal under immigration law. But you're an intelligent person. I've seen your questions. is this really a serious question for you? You've had better.

Dogtricks, if they checked residency at schools and hospitals and parental residency for food stamps, etc. They would catch a lot more than they do, don't you think?

Instead the debate is whether they 'should' ask at a traffic stop as if, heaven forbid, they should find out the answer.

There is a BIG gap between where we are and where we could be and the process would make this a less enticing place to be, as well.

It's easy enough to round up the obvious illegal aliens.
That said, I'll assume you are speaking of wanted felons as a whole, both legal and illegal. They know they are wanted and use their friends, family, and extended networks to remain under the radar and undetected. Most wanted illegal felons head south back to their country of origin to escape justice here in the USA that may include the death penalty if it's a capital case.

Just an FYI...
At any given time, it's estimated that there are 20 serial killers in the United States still loose and committing homicides.
The reason?
Stranger on stranger homicides are much harder to solve for obvious reasons.

Nobody said it was easy to round up illegal aliens, honey. What we have been saying is that if we prevent them from getting jobs, fire them from the jobs they have, stop giving them so many free benefits, and stop cities and states from giving them sanctuary, then we can get rid of most of the invading horde of 20 to 38 million illegal aliens. It is called Attrition through enforcement. Enforce the law, deport all criminal illegals after they serve their sentences.

I consider anyone who gives aid to illegal aliens a criminal and a traitor who should be put in prison. This includes the liberal Dimocrat mayors and governors across our nation that enforce sanctuary policies for illegal aliens. Get on the right side of this war kiddo, don't be a traitor to your country and culture.

I haven't been able to track down who first published this, but, here it goes:

Subject: HOOVER & EISENHOWER DEPORTED MILLIONS OF ILLEGALS!

Here is something that should be of great interest for you to pass around. I didn't know of this until it was pointed out to me. But, back during the Great Depression, President Herbert Hoover ordered the deportation of all illegal aliens in order to make jobs available to American citizens that desperately needed work. And then again in 1954, President Dwight Eisenhower deported 13 million Mexican nationals! The program was called "Operation "*******" so that American WWII and Korean veterans had a better chance at jobs. It took 2 years, but they deported them! Now, if they could deport the illegals back then, they can sure do it today!! If you have doubts about the accuracy of this information, enter Operation ******* into your favorite search engine and confirm it for yourself. Reminder. Don't forget to pay your taxes... 12 million illegal aliens are depending on you!

I guess if there was a 'innocent' card that all non-murderers got, they'd be a little easier to find...

Being in a country illegally is, at bottom, a paperwork issue. Either you're documented as a citizen, documented as a legal resident, (both reasonably easy to check) or you're 'undocumented' - illegal.
