Why is it that so many people don't want Mitt Romney for President because he is Mormon....but hundreds like Obama and he is a Muslim??? I'm a Christian and even though Mitt is not...I'm sure a Muslim is even farther away from my religion than is Mitt. What do you think??? No bashing...or you will be reported.

OK...so you say Obama is a Christian...yet he was sworn in using the Quran...the Book of Islam. Doesn't sound like my kind of Christian.

There is no sane answer to this question!! And be prepared to be deluged in answers denying he's Muslim. It's all in his biography that he wrote himself. He was raised in a Muslim household and I'm sorry but his name is a Muslim name. But of course 'that doesn't mean anything'

Obama is not a muslim and was not sworn in using a Koran (you are thinking of Keith Ellison - a congressman from Minnesota).
Mitt Romney is a christian - Mormons are Christians.
And since the founding fathers made it pretty clear there was to be no religous test to hold office why are you so concerned about this - do you think the constitution is wrong and we should only elect Christians?

Politics and Religion must be separate. Thus, many do not want Mitt Romney because when he becomes President, he could declared Mormonism as the national religion.

VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know if Romney will likely win.

Mitt Romney is as Christian as any. Just because he doesn't believe exactly like other Christians doe snotmean he isn't one. He will be sworn in using a Bible as any other president. And it will mean just as much to him, maybe more.

Say what? A nice Irish boy like O'Bama is a muslim? Saints preserve us! I wonder who came up with that one. Whoever it is, I suggest he or she or it be promoted to admiral of the Swift Boat Fleet. This is a smear with hair on it! Holy mother of God, and to think we all thought the 'wingers couldn't sink any lower? The fact is, Obama is a Hamsterfarian.....As long as the Great Hamster turns the Wheel of Life, all is well! You're a 'christian'? Don't you know that bearing false witness is a sin? Do you care? Hey...it's cool with me if you want to go to hell for being a liar and obviously you don't care either! What's you next fib? Can you top this last one?

well mitt is a Christan ( Mormons are Christians they believe in Christ) obama is a christian also , his mom was christian and his dad was Muslim.

i don't want mitt for president because of his politics not his religion . same with obama.

there are christian sects that don't allow swearing on a bible , and while i know he is not a believer in that sect i don't care what some one puts there hand on , its whats in your heart on whats under your hand , you can also be sworn into office with out laying hands on any book.

mike9626 : my goodness man does that mean Protestants are not Christians or seventh day Adventists or every other church in the western world.

what is your definition of a christian

Don't be so sure. Muslims and Christians have alot more in common than Mormons and Christians. Read the history and origins of Islam, and you will see that it has more to do with Christianty, than the Mormons which was founded in the midwest by Joseph Smith in the mid 1800's!!

On what planet are Mormons not Christian? You can call Mormonism a religion that isn't Christian, but that won't make it so. Non-Religious Right Republicans know better.

I think Mitt is a little too slick-looking and slick-talking to get the nomination, but it won't be because he's "not Christian," or whatever you Bible-beaters want to call him.

Obama, on the other hand, is going to have some serious issues with any voter who goes to any form of Christian church on Sundays, Wednesdays or whenever their Bible studies are.

Mitt Romney does not believe in evolution. Enough said.
I would just like to add, why is the religious backround of a political candidate important to you? Shouldn't you be voting based on politics, and not on religion? There is no one established religion in the U.S., so basing a vote on a candidate's religion would be unconstitutional and unpatriotic. Whether Obama is Muslim is moot, and whether a Mormon, a Christian sect, though unpopular, is comparable to another Christian is moot.

I like Mitt myself. I think we all should stay away from the right and left wing sights and just look up their biography's before we decide who to vote for. Their past history will telll a lot about their future behavior.

Obama is not a Muslim he has been involved with the United Church of Christ since the mid-1980's long before he was a politician.

You request I be respectful, and if you take this as being not I'm sorry. You need to better research things before you make yourself look dimwitted with questions that are factually inaccurate. The man who was sworn in with the Quran was Kieth Ellison a congressman from Minnesota and not Barack Obama.
