As background, I served four years in the military. I love my country. I am also (by nature, and by the military's nuture), a stickler for rules and laws.
Amendment 1: Freedom of speech -- does not apply.
Regardless of job status (off duty, representing yourself, not the military) one isn't at ease to speak freely.
Amendment 2: The Right to Bear Arms -- many don't know that this is specifically for the purpose of forming a militia if the government becomes corrupt. Military is specifically prohibited from this...
Amendment 3: Quartering of Soldiers: Okay, you've got me.
Amendment 4: Search and Seizure: "Probable cause"??? HAHAHA. Probable cause is when your superior says that the floor you live on actually has trash in the trash cans.
Amendment 5: Ok, we might get this one.
Amendment 6: Right to Speedy Trial -- I am not going to go there. No US Citizen gets this. The military isn't special here.
I could go on, but these are the basics. Please tell me why this is?
