My brother is joining the army and at the physical they said he was color-blind. He wanted to work on helicopter electrical systems, but now they say he can't because of the color-blindness. (BTW: He can see green and red but not some of the other colors) Why can't he still do what he had planned? What will he end up doing?

I am really worried about him now, so any info would help. Thanks.

The Dems now want to risk losing our most important middle east ally so that the Armenians can have closure. And you have noticed that congress has a lower approval rating than Bush, right? I thought I'd be voting Obama, but I guess the only hope we have is to vote republican.

As background, I served four years in the military. I love my country. I am also (by nature, and by the military's nuture), a stickler for rules and laws.
Amendment 1: Freedom of speech -- does not apply.
Regardless of job status (off duty, representing yourself, not the military) one isn't at ease to speak freely.
Amendment 2: The Right to Bear Arms -- many don't know that this is specifically for the purpose of forming a militia if the government becomes corrupt. Military is specifically prohibited from this...
Amendment 3: Quartering of Soldiers: Okay, you've got me.
Amendment 4: Search and Seizure: "Probable cause"??? HAHAHA. Probable cause is when your superior says that the floor you live on actually has trash in the trash cans.
Amendment 5: Ok, we might get this one.
Amendment 6: Right to Speedy Trial -- I am not going to go there. No US Citizen gets this. The military isn't special here.
I could go on, but these are the basics. Please tell me why this is?

I have been in the National Guard for five years and was recently diagnosed with ADD by a civilian doctor. I was prescribed Adderall XR and it has changed my life for the better in so many ways. I was unaware that the Army doesn't allow enlisted members to be on ADD medications until a few days ago. I am also facing an upcoming deployment in January. Will I be punished if I notify my chain of command that I have been diagnosed with ADD after my enlistment? Any guidance will be appreciated.

Is she just getting ready for Halloween or is she being serious with her whacked ideas? Help us all if she gets elected! Within 4 years the US would resemble Cuba or Venezuela under their nutty leaders.

I don't get how it is possible.

There is corruption and problems but it's not so bad.

Free school. Jobs. May not be jobs you want but they are there and you can even have 2 if you find them and you are not picky. Paved roads, highways, buses, trains.

America is great.

Bush says the US does not engage in torture. Is he making up his own definition of torture? Is he allowed to do that? Isn't the United States bound by accepted definitions of torture in treaties to which the United States is a party? Or is George Bush allowed to make up the law?
