Alright, this morning I was pulled over for speeding on my way to my college for my 10:00 class. It was 9:15 and I had plenty of time to get there, but for some reason I ended being at 64 MPH on a 45 road. This sounds lame, but really, I had no idea I was going THAT fast. At most I thought I was going 55, no more. But anyways, I was going downhill and my foot wasn't even on the accelerator. I wasn't paying attention, and all of a sudden I saw a police car coming right towards me. I pulled over and gave him my info...
Now, he gave me a ticket for the speeding. That's not my question. I know what I did was wrong so please don't lecture me on speeding. I have been driving for about 4 yrs now and this is my first speeding ticket.
What I want to know more about is how to possibly reduce it. I know there's no way to get rid of it all together. Since this is my first ticket, how much will this cost me the day I go to court? Roughly. And how much will this affect my insurance?

There seem to be many more 20 somethings who are liberal and left-wing than conservative. Is this a fact, or are the conservative youth too afraid to speak out?

The fact that as people get older, they become more conservative makes conservative views seem more mature and reasonable, anyway. See any 1960s hippies still taking LSD and giving away free love? No, they gave up all that immature thinking long ago. Or am I off base?

TOP CONTRIBUTORS: Do not bother answering this question, I do not pick TCs as "best answer". I don't even want you getting 2 points for answering, but I have to live with that, I guess. Better yet, if you are a TC, MOVE ON TO THE NEXT QUESTION...because I WILL GIVE YOU NOTHING.

Or are you going to make up some kind of justification because you don't want to admit the reason you're not voting for him is that he's black?

Try and sell the "lack of experience" excuse to someone else. Look at the records of all of the other candidates. Giuliani was a mayor, Fred Thompson was a lobbyist and lazy Senator, Hillary has seven years as Senator under her belt, John Edwards has six as Senator.

Besides, look at someone like Cheney with decades of experience in Washington, would you vote for him?

The police talked to the police in California ( where I live) and did not investigate into the allegations my son made of his father taking pictures of him naked and threatening him that he would burn in hell if he told anyone.
My son talked to police in California whom got me an Emergency Order of Protection. A child psychologist talked to my son also whom filed a suspected child abuse report against his father.

California police talked to police in Alabama whom did NOTHING but arrested me when my 6.5 yr old was not back at his fathers.
CPS of Alabama placed my son with his father and is having a forenic psychologist talk to my son in a week. My sons father knows he is found out about, and I believe will be very manipulative of my child. He (father) was very abuse to me in marriage. I never thought he would be a child molester.
Why would DHR (CPS) even get a psychologist to talk with my son and not remove my son from the home until a thorough investigation has happened.

Pretty good when he compares Iraq War to the Vietnam War and thus has upset Hanoi over doing so. This man has never had any credibility and his latest actions are the last grasp of reality of which he definitely never had a grasp of in the first place as he has never been responsible for his actions in his whole life.

you can fully fund the troops , yet get them out of and close the bases in other countries like germany , england japan korea.

we have no military reason to be there anymore
the libertarians and ron paul, believe in that , but all you hear is that they dont want to fund the military

is it so hard to make that realization ,

In many other countries around the world, non natives can run for leadership positions in their governments. Often there are stipulations like age, number of years living in the country, clean record, etc.

So why not have this same law in the USA?

Isn't it the 'land of opportunity'?

How has the present law protected us from having some terrible Presidents?

It hasn't.

Democrats are against new oil development in this country yet also claim conspiracy for price fixing against oil companies(which control a very small % of worldwide production anyway).
In reality, new development is being hampered everywhere in this country. I understand the need to find new energy sources, but while we are working on it shouldn't we be using the current resource and reduce our oil imports and along with it our trade imbalance?

I'm thinking Joe Biden or John Edwards.

Politically speaking, Edwards makes the most sense.

What do you think?

The world knows of the corruption and crime in Mexico. The failed economic systems and the poverty. The rampant drug trade.

So, at this pace, how long will it take for all of Mexico to empty in the United States and ruin this country?

How hard is this to see? Is this what our politicians want? To give our country to Mexico? The towns all surrounding me in NJ are turning into illegal alien havens. What the hell do we pay taxes for? To wipe us out?

I was driving the other day and thought I saw the man that attacked me standing on the corner. I kept going, and within a block or so had a major panic attack ... the whole bit, sweating, chest pain, the feeling I needed to run and hide somewhere. I was positive I was dying right then, and of course pulled over right away; I knew there was no way I could drive and my kids were with me too.

The thing is, I thought I'd pulled into the Kroger parking lot, but stupid me was two driveways off and instead I pulled into the parking lot for the fire department. I was sitting there just gripping the wheel and waiting for it to pass when one of them noticed me. A county LEO was there and he wanted me to go to the hospital, but I refused, knowing it would pass, and he was going to arrest me!

The EMT's there convinced him I'd be okay in awhile, and sure enough I was. So my question is, can I be arrested for a mere panic attack? I was no danger to anyone, just needed to stop for a few.

In short, the British were just as unprepared as the French. The English Channel and a quickly strengthened RAF saved Great Britain from the same fate as the French. Did Churchill ever admit that?

Then they wanted to know if I had any drugs in my possession and asked if they could search me and my car . I asked them to leave and they said we need to see some ID and I said go away then they moved up on to my property and as I backed away they said stop and I kept going and then they jumped me and took me to jail . I was charged with resisting arrest .
Thats the charge almost all people get when confronted by the police these days .

Even if you have done nothing they can arrest you and haul you down to jail .

Liberals can't debate politics so they use silly bumper sticker slogans to defend their weak ideas and filosofies, sadly.
