I would say American, even if you have dual citizenship and grow up with Pakistani values and culture. America is made up of so many different people. I wasn't born here, but I grew up here and I consider myself American

Your still Pakistan, but how you would say it is a , Pakistan American, so you are correct ! It doesn't matter how long you've been here you still weren't born here. Just like a person who has been here since they were two months old and want to run for President they can't, because they weren't born here, and are not considered to be a born American, and you have to be born in America to become President ! That's like if I were to move to Russia, I wouldn't call my self a Russian just because I lived there for thirty years, I'd be an American living in Russia !

American, in my book.

According to many people, though, if most of your ancestors came from Pakistan, even if it was four generations ago, you'd still be Pakistani-American.

Well to Americans you're just a Pakistani, especially if you're brown. If you're light-skinned then they'll love you.
