I've been very busy lately, but it seems I have not seen Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson decry this henious act. These were all young black students with a lot of potential--and because of the brutality of an illegal with a rap sheet a mile long--they're not saying ANYTHING!

If so, can you tell me where you got this information? Several people have linked the right-wing Washington Times

http://www.washingtontimes.com/article/20070814/NATION02/108140063

I thought at least the Times fact checked its information. Apparently not.

Here is the data correction in question:

http://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/graphs/Fig.D.txt

"Contiguous 48 U.S. Surface Air Temperature Anomaly"

Notice the key words: "Contiguous 48 U.S....Temperature Anomaly"

This was not a global temperature correction, it was a small lower-48 states correction. On top of that, it does not show that 1934 was the hottest year even in the US. It shows that 1934 was the hottest year in the US in comparison to the surrounding 30 year average (that's where the "anomaly" comes in). The 30 years around 1934 were much colder than recent years, so in reality 1934 wasn't even a warm year

Can conservatives get the facts straight please?

I think many who ask questions about the Federal Deficit are really not educating themselves. I also feel that this is crucial for people to read and understand!

July made 1 year that my husband hired this lawyer for his case. We went in on a Wedensday to talk with the lawyer he took the case & said he does not start cases until he has been paid.. Well, I have never been through this so we paid him the following Friday. He canceled one court date scheduled another & my husband took off day for the rescheduled court date & the lawyer called us that morning to say he was going to cancel the court. This has been going for over a year as I said and he will not return our phone calls & I called the court house today & the lady said she fired the same lawyer over a year ago because he was doing the same thing to her. Not returning calls& canceling court dates she said she paid him $2500.00&lost it all because she fired him. I need some answers & I need to know what to do can anyone please give me some advice?Who can I talk to about this problem?I have called countless times &my husband has even stopped by his office&still no response from him.help!

I tried asking this same question in the immigration section, but it never posted after 20 minutes, so I'm trying to ask the same question in the elections section. Let us see if it posts this time and how long it takes - or maybe there are candidates who don't want people to answer this question?

I betcha didn't know that Bin Laden was found in a Dubai hospital and visited by a U.S. CIA agent two months before Sept. 11 either?

**REMEMBER 9/11 ; REMEMBER WHO ATTACKED US ; NOW KNOW THAT WE DO NOT CARE ABOUT HIM (BIN LADEN) ANYMORE.**

BUSH IN HIS OWN WORDS (WITH CONTEXT): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PGmnz5Ow-o

"Deep in my heart I know the man's on the run if he's alive at all... And, uh, I, uh, you know who knows if he's hiding in some cave or not, we haven't heard from him in a long time."

"He's a person who's now been marginalized... So, I don't know where he is, nor do I spend that much time on it to be honest with you."

How the heck can you rationalize that it was "taken out of context" or "that's the liberal media for ya!"... Let's see it now. Try again, you good Little Germans.

I asked this question earlier today and I got about 25 people all quote their bumper stickers "Teach a man to fish, and he'll eat forever". That answer is extremely inadequate. FYI, nobody is offering to teach these people anything that point is meaningless.

QUESTION: Where do we draw the line with helping the needy (sick and poor)? I hear many people say life is sacred and is the most important. With that said, how can we judge dying people for decisions they’ve made in their life?……all legal decision by the way, no laws were broken. Are we letting people die because of greed? I think so.

The big argument I hear is that we shouldn’t be forced to help these people. Many people in my previous question said the govt., according to Jesus(which is totally irrelevant by the way), has no business in helping the people. The people must help themselves first.

its not like its a bad thing, its just when every one gets equally paid and the government controls all the businesses and poor people get to have there own plot of land equal to every one else’s.

one thing i also hate is when people become stupid and think that Hitler was a communist, or that communism is somehow connected with Nazism.

My ex-fiance came home drunk and assaulted me. I am not pressing charges. However, the D.A. is. I have been asked to talk to the D.A. on his behalf. His charges include Assault 4, Harassment, and (the worst of the charges) Interferring with a Police officer... When I called 911, he ripped the phone out of my hand, and broke it in 2. Apparently, that is a big no no. I know. I'm pitiful for helping... but that's the way these things work. However, if I help him get the charges dropped, he'll move to another town, and I'll never have to see him again.

one of my friends was imprisoned with charges of intent of homicide, (bad, i know). the problem is that there was so many people, and one of them got stabbed, and was in critical conditions. After he got stabbed, my friend got to the place of occurence and then the police got there too, since he didnt know what was happening he didnt run, and the police got him and charged him. No weapon was ever found in my friends posession, no blood on him or anything to really incriminate him. hes never been involved in something like this, HELP, can they keep him in jail with no proof??

I was having transmission problems with my vehicle and took it to a local shop for an estimate. They told me how much it would cost for repairs (well over $2000) and that they offer payment plans for people who cant afford to pay it all up front. I left that day to think about it and ended up taking it back on Wednesday August 8th, I was told at that point that my truck would be ready on Friday August 10th. Well Friday rolls around and I am told it isnt done but I would be able to Pick it up Saturday August 11th. Yup you guess it Saturday comes around and it still isnt done. Well here it is Tuesday August 14th and I went to pick up my truck and they have it back on the rack...so I ask what is going on ? He says they JUST took it out for a test drive and something else is wrong with it and I wont be able to pick it up. My question is since I never signed anything for him to do the repairs. Can I pick my car up and tell him I'm not paying him anything ?

I know in 1980, for example, an american consumer was able to buy a car that was capable of 45 miles per gallon on the express way. Here we are nearly 30 years later, and think about all the new technology that has come about.....and it looks like we have made no progress in the gas mileage arena. Think about it........its really fascinationg how that can be. If we could get 45 miles per gallon in 1980, we should definitely be at 100 by now or perhaps gasoline free.

What are the political reasons for this lack of advancement?
