if you smoke pot on a sunday and then on tuesday they sent you for a urine test and you failed . will they not let you draw unemployment or just pentaulize you......... just wondering about my friendin WV

he was suppose to have a phone hearing today with the law judge and the people he used to work with,... but the people he used to work with never got on the 3 way hearing call so is that like a no showfor the companyit ender up being just my friend and the judge

NO!! You can not get unemployment because of what you did.You could be fired and you can not do nothing about it.

I've been playing piano in a whore house, oops, I mean working in the Patch for over 20 yrs. I was fired once for pot, and I made up my mind right then that I would NEVER, EVER, allow that to happen again. Why would you ever be compensated for that? Are you running out of weed? As Hillary would say "SAY NO TO IGNORANCE", then leave the crack alone!!!!! You and I both know your friend Johnny Table is an alias you've been riding for days!!!!!Why can't you pansies just say you did it and move on? MAN UP !!!!!

Depends if the Company shows up at the Unemployment Hearing.
Tell your friend to fill out an Application, and see if the Company contests it.
If they do, he is sunk my friend.
If they don't, he will most likely get benefits.
It's up to the Judge. He could let them reschedual or say they gave up their right as a no show.
P.S. I am not saying what your friend did was right. I am just saying what the law is.

No, sorry. While I'm pretty okay with pot smoking in general, if you are at a job that forbids it, then you have to follow the rules. It is still illegal after all.

No. If you can afford to buy pot or use your unemployment to do so, you don't deserve money from the government, you deserve a huge fine.

You are only eligible for unemployment compensation if you lose your job through no fault of your own. If you get laid off due to lack of work, you get compensation. If you do drugs, you do not get compensation.
