Majority vs minorities?

Why Spanish speaking individuals are a huge majority , and Hebrew speaking fellows are a tinny minority?

What is Democracy ?

This was the headline in my local paper yesterday.

A local couple were flying the flag upside-down (universal symbol for "distress") with two signs pinned to it, explaining that it was not disrespectful, that they were protesting the state of this country.

That is called "political dissent."

"Defiling the flag" would have been if, oh, say...there were people lined up waiting to pee on it.

"Defacing the flag" would have been, oh...if they'd smeared dog feces on it.

But putting small, well-written signs of explanation on it are in NO WAY defacing it.

And even if it WERE, that specific ordinance in North Carolina has not been brought up since the Vietnam War.

Please read the article, and pay close attention to the officer who "responded" to the complaint. HOW did he find out about the flag? WHERE is the flag now?

And my question to you is this:

Were these people arrested for POLITICAL DISSENT?

I mean i see alot of Angry remarks and accusations on here but the only ones answering back are the anti illegals themselves ..there isnt ANY ILLEGAL ON HERE TO DEFEND HIMSELF FROM ALL THESE ACCUSATIONS SOME WHICH I KNOW ARE FALSE...and exaggerated.

i just wish i could see how this forum would look like...a bit more quiet on your (antiillegals) side i suppose

yes..i believe its a bit pathetic when an angry anti illegal posts a question and another antillegal answers it....THERE ISNT ANY ARGUMENT GOING ON THERE... its just the constant antiillegal rant going on and on.

if illegals were able to fite back..i think it wud be alot interesting.

this is my opinion.

If you knew precisely how to reduce public debt - then eliminate all public debt - then reduce all forms of taxation - then eliminate all forms of taxation - while still paying for essential government services and create government (at the local, state and federal levels in the United States) that are funded without either debt or taxation (perpetually) and do all of this legally would you support or oppose it and why? What do you see as the benefits of having no public indebtedness and zero taxation?

This applies to all forms of taxation (income, sales, fuel, property and the other 40-something forms of taxation that exist including drivers license fees) at all levels of government. Again, considering all of this is done legally.

Let's try to leave the potential Presidential candidates out of the mix though.

Because we can all read about their views and achievements on their campaign sites.

With the Dimocrats demanding Universal Health Care, have they mentioned how much it will cost and how much more we will have to pay in taxes? Have they mentioned the rationing that is happening in Europe and to some extent in Canada. Have they mentioned that one of the big issues in the most recent election for Prime Minister in Canada was about the mess that their health care system is?

I rented out a house that still had the electric service in my name. I just found out the guy did not transfer the service into his name and I am being charged for his electricity useage. What legal charges can I file against him? And, can I turn the electricity off since it is in my name, even though he is living in the house? This is in the state of Ohio.
Thanks in advance for anyone who helps me with this situation!

If so, do you support social security reform?

-Social security taxes a higher percentage from lower income workers (13% on the first $90,000/year, 0% on income after that)

-By NO projection will there be enough for today's young workers to retire at a reasonable age. Today's children can just forget it.

-After 70 years, the government has zero dollars to show for this 'retirement account.' Private investments with interest would have doubled the principle at least four or five times - allowing a LOT more money to be available for those who need it AND it would provide capital & liquidity to the businesses that support us with jobs, goods, and services.

-Private retirement accounts are regulated by law and if a corporation treated it like our government treats social security, they would be prosecuted and have their assets seized (Enron)

So, do you support an abuse on the American working poor that is more horrific than any corporate corruption scandal, or do you support change?

There is a high demand for Interpretal Cryptology, so there is a hefty sign-on bonus. They also get Top Secret clearance and have an extra year or so to learn an extra language, I'll probably go for Chinese. I have had interest in both though. I've always wanted to be in Cryptology, but I've also always liked and worked with computers also. Any input from anyone in these two fields?
