Intelligence is all about aptitude. It has nothing to do with the soundness of the decisions you make.
Instead, I would suggest a general knowledge test.
BTW, our founding father's envisioned something of this sort - the requirement of property ownership to enjoy voting rights. Logic goes, property owners are more likely to be well educated and make good decisions.
BTW, liberals might have more education, but their school of study definitely doesn't include economics. But at least you can describe the Magna Carta and proofread a sentence while our country goes bankrupt!

Well, I would love it if a civics test was a standard measure of voting aptitude, however that is not government for the people by the people. Besides, if we did have an intelligence test it would be hijacked by the libs just like public education has been, and the test would be biased.

Well consider in the 08 election that Bush won all but two educational levels.
1) Those who didn't finish high school.
2) Those with PhD.
So you would have cut in half the support the democrats if you had your way.
It was CNN's numbers not mind.

Depends. Who determines who gets to vote at what level of IQ? Democrats like voters that are not smart enough to figuer out how to vote, ie Florida. Do you only get to vote if you have an IQ less than 100 or above 100?

No but they should be required to have filed a tax return in the last year. (whether they paid taxes or not.) That way they know whos voting and that they are not a cartoon, illegal or dead or whatever.

In concept, I'd say yes. But, in practice, it's not practical.
However, one voting reform I believe we can enact is that anyone receiving government welfare support should not be allowed to vote while they are receiving this support. And, before someone calls me a racist, keep in mind that whites make up the majority of welfare recipents.

Funny but Rasmussen did a poll on listeners and viewers of news shows and guess what? People who listen to Limbaugh, Hannity, and O'Reilly have greater understanding of the constitution and current events than the average person. Bring on the test! The women who support Hillary in the greatest numbers have the least eduction and accomplishment. Please bring on the test!
