Because Communist organizers chose May 1 (Communist Revolution Day) to show America how much power they now have by organizing their new minions in marches.

Luckily, this nation is not Democracy. It is a Republic, in order to protect us against such mobs by enforcing rule of law rather than letting whomever can get the biggest mob together run the show.

The Minutemen organized smaller marches but they were in the right. They stand for upholding the laws that protect this nation against foreign invasion, the sort of hostile invasion we are seeing right now. If more Americans knew just how hostile those invaders are (organized by Communists) the Minutemen would have much larger membership.

It is a matter of organization, and also of media attention. The illegals, themselves, are not that organized, but there are liberal and race-based organizations with decades of experience organizing protests who have taken up thier cause, and they swell thier numbers by cross-protesting.

Anarchist, for instance, will show up at almost any protest.


The other side is made up of law-abiding types who are less inclined to civil disobedience of any stripe, and, there is not any real organization trying to pull them together - there are small grassroots ones, but the big conservative influence-mongers who you might think would be on thier side are, in fact, oppossing them, as well. So, when they have protests at all, they are not as expertly organized and promoted, and thus much smaller.


There's also a matter of spin and perception in media coverage. Tight vs long shot can make a protest look like a huge crowd or a few stragglers, for instance. And, you can also choose to focus on the placards with the most (or least) inflamatory slogans. Pro-illegal protests are considered more newsworthy, and favored for being progressive (agitating for change), while anti-illegal demonstrations are characterized as reactionary counter-protests by uneducated racists and xenophobes.
