We used all the money spent in Iraq and Afghanistan and used it to secure our ports and borders and root out the "enemy" already here?

Wouldn't this strategy also better lend itself to the isolationist doctrine preferred by many conservatives?

And do not say he would be out of office by the time it was over. We put enough pressure and let the dems know their jobs are on the line as well and it will happen real quick! Impeachment and prosecution will restore our honor and allow us to regain the ability to solve our problems peacefully.

Do you think that things like unauthorized wiretaps are a necessary evil for national security, or is this going too far? Your opinions?

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Last night the self-confessed Al Qaeda conspirator was on his way to join America's most infamous criminals, including the "shoe bomber" Richard Reid, in a maximum security prison known as the "Alcatraz of Colorado." There he will be held in solitary confinement for 23 hours a day 60 feet underground in an 8-foot by 5-foot cell.

"Mr. Moussaoui, when this proceeding is over, everyone else in this room will leave to see the sun ... hear the birds ... and they can associate with whomever they want," she said. "You will spend the rest of your life in a supermax prison. It's absolutely clear who won."

As the Moroccan-born French Islamist tried to interrupt her - as he has done endlessly in the more than four years of court proceedings - she raised her voice and said: "You will never get a chance to speak again and that's an appropriate ending."

My opinion is that it is because we (yes, I'm making a generality) feel comfortable enough, especially since we see them all over the place, that our government isn't "out to get us" or overly corrupt. I know a lot of people cry out about corporations and lobbyists but I'm sure the majority of Americans have a little more faith in the government. We simply on hear from the untrusting people.

Your thoughts? (and there is no point in attacking me because one I don't care enough for you to hurt my feelings and two it's meant to be thought-provoking not threatening)

I've seen people ask questions if Romney will free Warren Jeffs, legalize polygamy, and other silly things. Fact: if you're a polygamist in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, you get excommunicated. It was a practice done 100+ years ago out of necessity, as many Mormon fathers and husbands were murdered leaving no one to care for their families. It is no longer practiced by LDS people, although small groups claiming to be "fundamentalists" still do.

So, why are people making such a big deal out of a guy who has strong moral character, great leadership, and family values? Sound so terrible?

The way is vey simple. Put on the national ballet a law that raises the minimum drinking age to 25. Personally there are many many benefits to this law and it would help colleges with the binge drinking and under age drinking problem. but most importantly it would never pass because every college student would vote against it. passionately. what do you think? i think we should do it for the next presidential election. trust me students would care about politics then.
