Friend told me that her 2 year old has black eye b/c nanny 'lost it' and hit him for misbehaving. Apparently "the only time" it happened. Should my friend file a police report? See a pediatrician immediately? What is the best course of action at this point (yes, the child will not be going back there, that part was obvious).
I think a police report is in order cuz this lady is licensed and could have access to other children in the future - and I contend that it is NEVER ok to hit a child - one strike and you're out.

Am I too harsh? What should be done? What's the law?

If they were, the US Government would crack down hard instead of allowing blood to be shed on the nation's streets. Instead, resources are being spent on "Al-Qaida" which means "the base for students" in Arabic; Most of the members of the above street gangs are old enough to be high school or college students.

Why would he steal all that money when the per capita income of Cubans languishes around $1,500 / year? That's right, folks, the average Cuban has an annual income of $1,500!

Now, I know, I know, for the Cubans lots of things are either subsidized or simply unavailable (the latter being a slight understatement ;-)); so I have no trouble acknowledging that the average Cuban has $3,500 per year in terms of purchasing power parity. Still, $3,500 is a wretched existence.

So I can't help but wonder how that great leader of the people, Fidel, has become worth $900 million. Shouldn't he give that money back to the people who's necks he's been standing on for the last 48 years?

I think he should give it back and then he should have Cuban doctors treat him next time he's seriously ill. You know the doctors, right? They're the ones that help to make Cuba's health care system the envy of the known world. Yeah, right!

On them?
Blame on the most impoverished economic-Immigrants?
Those who estoically survived more than 500 years of cultural genocide????

No way Jose!
I don't blame on the people..!!! but I would blame on Bush, and I would demand my U.S citizen rights if I were so concerned about Imigration isues as all of you who answer every day are. However you know labor exploitation, and discrimination based on ethnicity or nationality is illegal, and illegal means illegal.

I live in Canada and the government decided to give our aboriginal people more money, I am not a racist but am getting very sick of paying for a high percentage of our population, this strategy in Canada has not worked in the past due to politics on the reserve. It seems like politicians just want to hand out money to win votes.?

I am inquiring from anyone familiar with the law or better still, Singapore law, my rights against false arrest by a)civilian (shop employees, security guards, shop detectives) b) law enforcement officer, assuming i have not commited any felony.

Also, i want to know my extent of freedom in speech and how the line is drawn, and what speech/words would be deemed unlawful and could result in legal charges against me

Why do the illegals keep coming here?

As the Pros will tell us ad nauseum that Illegals get NO benefits...why are they coming here?
I'm really curious how the Pros protest that no benefi
ts are paid to ILLEGALS, yet we have between 12 and 30 million of them here. Do they like living 20 to a 1 bedroom apartment, or is it those "nonexistent" WIC and Welfare benefits that keep them here?

We all know what's happened in the last couple elections....and with the electoral college having the biggest influence in the outcome. Do your think that your voting really is being counted like they say....or do you think that our government chooses and the voting is just so you beleive you have a voice? Kinda makes me wonder because i really don't see how the people that run in elections should even be on ballots. Do you really think that money and congressional influence is what gets the presidential seat?

I kinda like this question.....good job me....:)

There are 12 millon illegal immigrants.Alot lot of people here don't understand immigration. If you kick out 12 millon illegals immigrantsThe american people are going to pay dearly. Most illegals work very low paying jobs.Once the American people don't want .So kick them out and watch what the price go up.You think gas prices are to high.Watch the price of food will go up and watch some companies close or raise price on product because it will cost them more for workers.
So you want to kick out the illegals go ahead but don't cry when you are paying more for many things

First, there must be a Palestinian state. Any displaces people should be given a home of thier own. This may not be pleasant early on for the Israelis, but it would pay enormous dividends in the long term.

Also, Jerusalem must become an international city - belonging to no one. It is, after all, a spiritual center for all the Abrahamic faiths. It should be a city that is policed by a very large international peacekeeping force.

I think some radical change must happen for the various sides in this conflict to get along.

Will continuing to do what has been done for decades now do anything?
