It means that it was lost from the outset because it was contrived and directed by a clique of morons who should never have been given the reins of power in Washington. Now the Republican Party is finally beginning to realize too late how stupid they have been in following the lead of a corrupt bevy of incompetent empty suits.

It means the Iraqi people must pull together for national unity or our presence there is a worthless endeavor. No country can force another into something they seem to be against unless that country goes in to defeat the whole country. In the absence of that, the status quo will continue forever. That would be Iraq's loss, not ours.
