I assume he means a womans choice to kill her baby. and freedom from theocracy....oh yes, those evil christians forcing their morals on us. we can't have people praying in public and stuff...oh the humanity. yes, phule has just answered my question, here is the problem with liberalism. phew, I almost forgot there for a moment.

well, my friend phule_poet. you hate religion, but I would bet my left nut you were the loudest one screaming when the liberal media falsely claimed that someone had flushed a koran down the toilet. you make these claims to suit your current position. and change the rules if it so makes your inane points of view somehow more tolerable.

oh yeah....you're all about freedom, aren't you. unless you happen to be a christian, or an unborn baby... or a right wing talk radio show host. but if anybody who agrees with you wants their freedom you'll be glad to fight for them.

Wanting to support free speech, free choice, freedom from theocracy . The support of citizens being allowed to have every right and privilege given to their fellow neighbor. Shielding the victims of a tyrannical regime stepped in innuendo, bigotry, salaciousness, and debauchery.

yes I'm sure you cons would hate things like that

and you prove mine only a complete jerk would try to claim freedom if you : decide to take away a womans ability to make choices for herself, create religious based laws in attempt to ram one religion down peoples throats. Create multiple class system were some are more “free” than others.

No I didnt do anything like that at all. In truth, I didnt think that what was reported was true. I'm not a Fox News fan and take the media at its word ...I like to check things out rather than allow myslef to be hauled around by my nose.

Funny that you would bring up things off topic...or is it that since you know you are wrong you'll grasp at anything, and ... well be just like most cons if you cant use truth to justify a bias point of view the answer is just make things up to "prove" yet another false claim?

Read what Super just typed. All of it. THAT is why I fear the republican party. They have shown the world with words and actions an undeniable attack on freedom. The party you are affiliated with has become the single greatest threat to the ideals of freedom. Are the terrorist bad, yes they are but they pale in comparison to the damage caused by YOUR leaders to "protect" the country. I like being free, I'm sorry that it some how offends you but I'm not going to give mine up like a blind fool.

Liberals (not just those some call Liberals simply because they have opposing views)have a habit of supporting actions (laws, etc.) that tend to stifle the human spirit and natural drive to succeed rather than advance it. While true Conservatives acknowledge that those who are incapable of doing for themselves should be supported and protected, we also believe that an individuals best chance at advancing is to give him the latitude to make his own decisions and create his own destiny. Liberals, on the other hand, believe that the government is best suited to determine what's in the best interest of the individual based on its priorities.

First to respond to JO... Are the Green Peace activists driving steel stakes into trees to maim loggers really living and letting live? How about the PETA nuts demanding that the other 90% of the population give up meat? Or what about when they dump red paint on people wear fur? Please...

The biggest problem with most liberal ideology is that it tends to be impossible utopian visions of the way the world SHOULD BE rather than looking at the world as it is now and how to deal with it.

That is of course not to say that conservatives haven't been guilty of this too (a la; I don't care if we can't possibly physically deport 12 million illegals we SHOULD... No amnisty! Hazzah!). However I think this focus on an ideal alternate reality rather than an objective evaluation of the real world is more prevalent in liberal circles.

The fact that this perfectly innocent word " liberal" has been spun into some sort of Kafkaesque boogie man by the P.C. "(politically correct) smarm purveyors. I'll bet you five bucks if you actually went to the trouble to look up the definition in a decent dictionary you'd have to admit you've been using ( abusing) it in the wrong way.

The inability to deal with facts and reality. The need to pit one class of people against another.

The belief that they can buy votes by raising taxes and rewarding indolence with welfare type programs.

The incessant use of phrases like "Tax cuts for the rich" while they know that most of their constituents will not ever do the math and fail to understand that a 10% tax cut is 10% across the board. The fact that 10% for a millionare is $100000 and 10% for a 50,000 a year manager is $5,000. Both are 10%, but if you give a democrat the dollar amount, they will never figure out that they cant get $100,000 back as they have never made that much.

That it is leaning toward authoritarian liberalism instead of libertarian liberalism.

Same as the problem with conservatism.

There are two, not one, axis on the political chart. Left and right, up and down. From left to right you get your standard liberal vs conservative. From up to down is the authoritarian vs libertarian.
Both parties have become too bogged down in telling people how to live their lives.

The biggest problem with liberals (and conservatives) are those who are too caught up with left vs. right and waste their time bashing the other side rather than doing something that would actually benefit their country.

liberals have no guts they are lazy and blame everybody for there problems . insted of working those dobbie smoking hippies wait around for a goverment check to show up in the mail. also they carry rabies because they are just like any yellow egg sucking dog. even now our pinko friends are in washington trying to lobby for free goverment soap so they can start bathing at tax payers exspense. liberlism represents those who want to sponge off all of us who work and take baths or showers every day.

a total lack of objectivity - it seems that they just can't see things from other perspectives - my way or the highway -

the conservatives are the same in that regard also. I don't like how either has handled things.

in every way I feel caught in the middle

Lack of intelligence and the tendency to jump on every bandwagon that becomes popular, as well as believing everything that comes out of the mouths of Al Gore, Michael Moore and the like.
