Bush has done nothing but defend this country against enemies that hate freedom. He liberated Iraq. There may be problems now, but this is a long term project. It takes sacrifice.

It seems like everywhere you turn, you see some new allegation of so-called corruption. It's a witch hunt.

Why all the hate?

I married 3 years ago, will be three years this September, and I
left my wife. I have not heard from her since two years, and I want to divorce now without applying to her (I know where she lives, but do not want to tell her). I am afraid that if I tell her she will not agree, because when I left her she was badly off, and needed a lot of bills to pay, medical, and I did not feel ready for it. We actually quarreled because of this: I went on the cruise, and she thought that I'd better pay her bills. I wanted some life to live, and when I left her, she was really badly off, like nothing to eat and unpaid rent, and she could not work then.
I was not ready for such responsibility.
Can I now divorce her without paying too much in legal fees?

I am currently in the NAVY DEP program, scheduled to leave for basic this 26th. Whe I went to swear in to MEPS, my recruiter told me not to mention all 3 of my misdemeanor charges for theft under $300 from 1998, he said to only mention 1 of them, so I did, and got to swear in and everything.
When MEPS did my backgroud ck, they noticed thre was 1 charge that I did not mention, so my recruiter recieved a call from MEPS stating that. My recruiter had me fill out hand written statements fro all 3 charges, and then asked me to get 4 references from work, so he could fax all that in. Then a week later i had a special investigator from OPM ask me to interview me for a background ck, that MEPS sent to do on me. My MOS is YEOMAN. I am supposed to b waiting for a waiver to be granted so that I can still leqve for basic this month, and everytime i call my recruiter w/ and update...he says, I have not heard anything back yet, but I will keeo u posted. So now I am thinking that I will be denied now

It is possible to be wealthy and pay zero dollars in income tax in this country. An unemployed wealthy person with no investment or interest income would pay nothing in income tax.
The current progressive income tax structure taxes only working people, rich or middle-class, and burdens those who can afford it the least.
The current system also ignores people who are amassing fortunes thru illegal activity like major drug dealers.
Shouldn't we consider a tax structure based on wealth rather than income?
I am not proposing taxing the rich to death. There are, however, people who control fortunes and not paying a fair share of taxes.

"They can have their votes of no-confidence but it's not going to make the determination about who serves in MY government," Bush said Monday.

Last time I checked we did not vote Bush in as King of America but president. It is OUR government is it not?

I support the man for President - I agree with him on many (almost all) of his policies. However, I can't help to think there's a downside. What are his least-popular ideas? If you were in a political debate against Ron Paul for your life, what would you argue to make him look bad? I'm just trying to make sure I get both sides of the story here...

Also, please no "there aren't any downsides!" or dumb things like that. Gracias. :)

I would send the Army to our southern border and seal it. I'd then let all governments know that this is our right to do and I would not brook any complaints.

I'm a LT (SWO) in the IRR. I'm guessing I would just contact my detailer, but I was wondering how long the process takes. Also, would I still be eligible for the SWO bonus coming in from the IRR?

We could confiscate any funds illegally gained to help off set the cost of deportation.

It really would not cost that much, just enforce the laws and a lot of the criminals will leave.

It is so funny to see certain people just throw there hands up and say it's impossible to enforce our laws and deport all illegals. These same people watch rockets sent into outer space, use mp3 players and computers etc and "it can't be done"

What a laugh.
