I served in the army and choose not to re-enlist, however, because my husband is active duty, i am thinking of re-enlisting as an officer. Is this at all possible? Besides a family care plan for the children (3), what is the other criteria I will need? Thanks to all who respond!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i pass worms often after a rainy shower and see them rolling abot in pain cos either they have been trodden on or have lived in an area away from water for a while and appear desperate for water. I try and give them some if i can but feel guilty about leaving them sufferng and in pain - You wouldn't walk past a stranger who was famished or had his leg broken and I realise they're not human and its difficult to help every1 and everything but I'm a vegan and feel that I should help animals , humans and the environment when I can. I was wondering how other people feel about this...

If in fact, Gonzales appears to have been caught lying to what he knew, when he knew...does this guy deserve to keep his job?
I don't care if he is GOP/LIB, but this does not fly, period. This is bad business...

...and just a continuous stream of bad news coming from the Whitehouse...for how MANY years?

There is no wall around the USA.
There is no ban on firearms.
There is no limit on traveling to Iraq.

If you can pick up a gun, and you support this war, then why have you gone to your local Wal-Mart, bought a couple guns, and why aren't you over there fighting and dying for your own cause right now? Why don't you bring your kids along and let them see what kind of glory that fighting on the American's side will bring them.. posthumously?

Could it be that the pro-war, pro-gun conservatives are just a little too chicken and would rather be sitting safe at home while blaming liberals for why George W Bush is so damn incompetent (as if all the support in the world would make him any less incompetent).

What exactly is your excuse?

I live in a luxury condo that is adjacent to the business distract, and a bar there has repeadily voilated both local code and nys law by throwing DJ nights, Cabaret dancing, and now have extended its premisis with outside drinking by installing a cheap fence and the noise and drunken behavior is being ingored by the police department and village officials. I want to bring suit against the village for loss of equity to our property, pain and suffering, and failure to uphold the city code which ensures all residents will be provided a high quality of life and ANY disruption of that peace and quiet will result in revocotion of any permits/license granted to business owners.

To date the village has done nothing but give the run around. At one point they blame us for moving so close to the business district, yet they approved the building of residental condos in this area to begin with.

Please help as we want to file suit asap.

Is this just a way of packaging himself to us? Are these empty words? Are you of the opinion that running the country like a business would be good since businesses have to operate well or else they go under? When did we become infatuated with the president as the only "ruler" of the country? As a side note, I thought there were three branches to govt...Anyways, Do you want one ceo taking care of all of us like the little babies that we are? Do you want to give your power to a person whether on the left or right? What are your thoughts on this? Why do you need a leader? Why do you want to be "patriotic"? Why do you support a president? Are you human or american? Isn't this flag waving patriotism a thin veil for our own insecurity and identity? If you werent american, would you still be?Have fun with that one.

I think his candidacy is dead on arrival. He has too much personal baggage to attract evangelical voters. I like the guy, but he would have a much better chance running as a Democrat.

Remember in 2005 and 2006, when gas was $3.00 a gallon and people were crying that the oil companies made so much money?

http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/story?id=1029991

Exxon made 7.6 Billion dollars in the second quarter alone. Many people pointed to this and complained that, not only were gas prices high, but the companies were making racord profits at our expense!!

Right?

Well, did these people forget that Exxon is a PUBLIC COMPANY!
That's right, you can go online, and for about ten bucks you can buy a share of ExxonMobil's profits! YOUR MONEY can be making those record profits!

If you did, instead of wanting gas prices to go down, you would be wishing for them to go up, so you can make more money!!

No, I don't work for Exxon, but I am reminding you that the people making money off of this are not only "big, evil businessmen", but everyday people like you and me.

Upset the oil companies are making so much money? Quit whinint about it, and go make some money yourself!!!

the nhs is in crisis. It's so glaringly obvious. My Grandfather DIED because of cutbacks and post-op care.Patrica Hewitt still maintains everything is fine and dandy and the NHS is better because of her and Blairs sweeping reforms that are not only costing lives but jobs.Do these people live in an altered state of reality? You have to think so.
Time and time again,think-tanks,professors and very educated people are saying that this government's policys aren't working and are causing pain and suffering en-masse.Unyet STILL this bloody government DENY FACTS.Apart from waiting until the next election, what, just WHAT can we as the people of this country do to stop this systematic destruction of our country.Of course according to Blair we've never had it so good.So if him and his yes men ( and women ),deny what stares them in the face ( and they choose to ignore ),what can we do to change anything they choose to impose.

Thaanks if you responded, but still have more questions:

Russian citizen with J-1 Visa and two year home requirement (immigration, J-1, K-1 2 year home requirement)?
Here is the deal, I'm with a russian who originally came here on J-1 VISA. We would like to stay but can't because of the two year home requirement? I'd like to know if anyone has any experience with the following:

1.) Filing finace visa paperwork including the I-485 to change status. On this form is a question about J-1 does anyone have any experience in saying "no" when in fact you do? Was it overlooked, flagged, was there punishment?
--This I admit, probably a bad idea, but I'm curious if anyone knows of specific punishments in regards to wrong wrong answers on the I-485 J-1 question?

2.) My girlfriend also has an option of getting a job in Russia, with a russian company but she will be required to do much work in the UK? Perhaps as much as 50% of the time. Would this satisfy 2-year home requirement??
