i pass worms often after a rainy shower and see them rolling abot in pain cos either they have been trodden on or have lived in an area away from water for a while and appear desperate for water. I try and give them some if i can but feel guilty about leaving them sufferng and in pain - You wouldn't walk past a stranger who was famished or had his leg broken and I realise they're not human and its difficult to help every1 and everything but I'm a vegan and feel that I should help animals , humans and the environment when I can. I was wondering how other people feel about this...

Are you for real or is this question metaphorical? It's a worm! Kill it, eat it, play with it, walk away from it......who cares?!

they do not feel pain. If you had ever been an a trumatic situation you would under stand that the mind cuts off severe pain.........and I aint talking no paper cut.

Vegans drive cars right. Well then you can kill hundreds of bugs in a single drive.

If you actually lived your live the way it was intended to be lieved then you would understand much more about not only the human body but also pain in general.

People suffer every day and this dork is worried about worms........some people ehh

"You wouldn't walk past a stranger who was famished or had his leg broken..."

You make a pretty wide assumption about me. I walk past bums without a seconds thought. Some of them just might be famished or injured.

If you care about the worms, throw them into the grass. They need to get out of the sun. Other than that, they'll take care of themselves.

I would leave it... the pain it is experiencing disturbs you, but it could have a chance to live. Even if it is going to die eventually, don't kill it before its time, who knows what it is experiencing? No-one...

Me, I passed a baby rabbit by the side of the road the other day, and my dog shook it before I realised it was alive, so I hit the dog and made it drop the rabbit. It was still moving, but I wonder as well if it was diseased. Part of me wanted to turn back and let the dog finish it off, but it seemed too cruel... even though the chance was slim, it could get better, and scavengers will get it soon enough if it won't heal. In some instances we can help animals, but in others it's best to leave them to their own devices. Nature can sort itself out without our help...

A worm unlike other animals can regrow their body back, so it can actually live. The humane thing 2 do is leave it!
