U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers office was trashed by anti-war vandals, but the irony is Rogers doesn't even support the surge.

If the libs have stopped to think for a minute, they may be able to sort out who is for the war and not. but hey, that is too much thinking.. their govt. educated brains can only process what moveon.org tell 'em to do

ok heres my situation... my sons dad was not there at his birth and has never really been there through out his life (pops up every now and then).. I am the one thats raised him, provides for him and does any and everything he needs... so i feel i should be the one to have full rights over my child ! i have no problem with his dad seeing or spending time with him but point period his fathers not interested.... so my question is what is the easiest way for me to obtain full leagal custody with out obtaining a lawyer...
also take into consideration that the father would more then likely be willing to sign his rights over to me.
and his father is a felon, has a history of drugs and violence (violence on me, not our child).
lastly I live in Florida.

This is for a Criminal Investigations class. We are investigating a series of SUV fires and suspect it is domestic terrorist related. There are 5 members of the group and need to come up with job titles (i.e. arson investigator) that would relate to a joint task force of local, state, and federal officials.

There is eery similarity (and this is meant in a very objective, non-political tone) to the watergate showdown and the showdown between Bush and Congress. I thought that the Supreme Court's ruling in watergate over the tapes limited executive privilege to matters of national security and a few other very selective instances. In any event, the court can review documents in camera (in secret out of public view) to determine the adequacy of any such claim. But in matters of wrongdoing or fraud, the presidential privilege doesn't apply, I thought. Does the administration have a legal leg to stand on here in light of that ruling? I would think that it would be required to abide by a congressional subpoena, per the Watergate ruling. Can anyone offer any meaningful insights?

Unlike race, gender, sexual orientation or age, people have some ability to control which ideologies they will align themselves with (although the childhood brainwashing can make that extremely difficult, particularly if your country and family are monolithic.) I find it ethical to be prejudiced against those who believe a woman should be "kept in her place" by hitting her, and I find it ethical to be prejudiced against those who believe in a vicious god or gods.
Before you clap your hands over my discrimination against various Muslim denominations, be aware that I think Southern Baptists, Pentacostols and Southern Methodists are just as bad and deserve to be scorned.
If any Western religion is more decent than the others, it is obviously Judaism. They have traditionally been the victims of the other two. And Buddhism is the most decent of all.

Everyone, in other countries that is, was shocked that Bush was returned to office so easily. Surely the American public has the same responsibility for what has happened in Iraq? Or, is that an inconvenient simplification?

I mean if you really don't care about social issues and just want the government to keep its grubby hands off your money (and out of your bedroom) the Libertarians appear much more in line.
When you have trillions in war debt, I don't think the GOP qualifies as fiscally conservative anymore.
