This is for a Criminal Investigations class. We are investigating a series of SUV fires and suspect it is domestic terrorist related. There are 5 members of the group and need to come up with job titles (i.e. arson investigator) that would relate to a joint task force of local, state, and federal officials.

You would need an arson investigator, FBI, local law enforcement and a domestic terrorism specialist (the FBI would most likely provide this).

Another useful person to get would be a criminal intelligence specialist. (Does the same sort of analysis as military intelligence types - but focusing on serial crimes.)

local fire chief, fire marshal, are the ones I usually deal with. I report to my fire chief, and if the fire looks suspicious, we call in our fire marshal, and he takes command of the scene. After that, who knows.
