No.That is an utterly ridiculous position.A rat being used for medical testing in no way equates a to teenage girl in Darfur being raped and murdered.

If PETA and the other animal rights groups would admit the conditions in a chicken farm were not the moral equivalent of Auschwitz, they might find some real public support.

I grew up on a farm. we've a dairy, we develop purple meat-livestock, pigs, sheep, and 0.5 over 500 horses for entertainment purposes. All of that are taken care of kindly and given sufficient nutrition and area to be animals. there's a surprising line between killing and torturing animals and making use of them as a source. If animals have been made to have the comparable rights as human beings, they could be waiting to force, or vote, or cook dinner and clean. yet they don't. human beings are biologically made to eat the two meat and plant life. there isn't something incorrect with that. whether, the way a human is going approximately it, is an entire different tale. that is unethical to poach animals and killing animals to be shot and left to die. ethical hunters kill in basic terms what they might use, and do their ultimate to attempt for a rapid, painless kill. ethical farmers under no circumstances fill their feed lot with too many livestock that they are uncomfortable or in misery. it would be unethical. whether, using hard artwork or rapid kill of an animal for nourishment, isn't some thing human beings might desire to argue. that is elementary experience relatively.

You can try, but I wouldn't vote for you.

I don't believe in animal rights, but I do believe in animal welfare. Animals don't understand the concept of rights, so there's no point in trying to make animals equal to humans. They aren't.

While animal rights is an important issue it is way down the list of things a presidential candidate should be concerned with.

"I believe in US" is also one of the current slogans of "US Airways", whose CEO was recently convicted of DUI after having a few too many when hearing that his bid to buy Delta Airlines (another bankrupt airline) was rejected.

All animals should be equal, but some should be more equal than others.
