What is mental Fascism? I have never heard that before. If you mean what I think you mean. It can be but doesn't have to be. Only if you let it does religion be anything.

one of the basic tenets of fascism is the secularness of it. devotion to any deity manes lack of loyalty to the state. to put the two together is an oxymoron.

religion can be used as the opiate of the masses, but it is an idea first and foremost. the people who use the idea, whole nother story.

It can be as bad as people using hate speach to attack religion, but that is rarely the case.

Religion for it's many faults is a force for good, providing many with additional incentives to treat their fellow man better.

On the other hand Athiesim is not a force for good, it's sole purpose is to destroy other people's beliefs.

Think of santa clause., he may not be real but he is a force for good. Someone who tells kids Santa is not real is just an jerk. That is what athiests are.

No. No one is holding a gun to anyone's head here saying ye must believe. Just because you fear morals, and conviction from a higher place doesn't mean Christianity is fascist.
