What do you know about the speculation that Iran is attempting to enrich uranium for bombs? What evidence is there to support the claim?
Conversely, what has Iran done to show that the program is for strictly domestic purposes?

I never, NEVER blame a woman who has had an abortion for a number of reasons: it is legal, it is a medical procedure, it is usually not done lightly. BUT, I do blame the doctors that perform it, the nurses that assist, the owners of the buildings where it is done, the people who vote the politicians in and the politicians themselves. Culpable for the murder of countless unbornchildren.

With so much blood on their hands, how do they sleep at night?

Ideas?

I have always wondered this, but I just thought to ask here.

Whenever you see someone in the Army, they have a patch of the American flag on their right shoulder. But, the American flag on this patch is backwards: that is, the field of blue is on the right side of the flag, as opposed to the left.

Does this signify something? Can someone tell me why they do this? I am not sure if other branches do this, but I know the army does. If you do answer, please show some source, because people tend to make up answers alot on here.

After an extensive research I found out that many Americans go to other countries and stay illegally, shame on us, we are always talking about illegal immigration but millions of Americans are doing the same, some of the countries where Americans go and stay illegally are Costa Rica, the Netherlands, othe countries in Europe and even Canada.

so, what's the deal people... we talk so much about illegal aliens and we are doing the same thing...

I bought a house in September and I renew my apartment lease in June of the same year not knowing that we were getting the house. Now I have a couple with 5 kids subletting my apart. because we didn't want to pay a fine to the company because we were leaving before the lease lapsed and the people haven't pay rent since October. We had paid the rent for them because they promised to pay, but we have run out of money. We were paying for the house and the apart. Now I have asked them to pay me the money 'cause they got their taxes and they only gave me one months rent. I have a lease that I made them sign and I think I have everything legal. We are working two jobs and the people in our apartment, the husband is the only one that is working. I need a lawyer that helps me for free 'cause am broke. Is a really difficult situation and I think they have done this before.

While once there were huge demonstrations against invading Iraq, in European countries now we see places such as Spain, Italy, Germany, Netherlands and old soviet blocs now making money off of arms sales to middle east and US needs.
Yet no one is demonstrating for "peace" today.

I live in Portland, Oregon. Last night I was driving across the burnside bridge when I was pulled over for going 43 in a 25. He said that the speed limit was recently changed from 40 to 25 on the bridge because of construction but that the speed limit is posted on both ends. I'm sure this is true but here's my case. Due to the construction they have tried to wash over lane lines and replace them with cones. When I was crossing over the bridge it was I was paying attention to the lanes so that I wouldn't drive in to oncoming traffic. Therefore I had no idea of the new speed limit. Do I have a case?

I think the politics page on YahooAnswers should be broken into two catagories. The first would be for all these idiots Asking "Why are liberals so stupid?" or "Why are conservatives all retarded?" Then have a second catagory for people who have serious questions regarding politics.

Doublespeak... "perpetuated language that is grossly deceptive, evasive, euphemistic, confusing, or self-centered."

Example: "British expected to cut troups in Iraq... Bush calls move 'sign of success' even as U.S. is adding troups to Bagdad"

well?

-The US gave & still gives billions of appeasement aid to Egypt in return for Israeli-Egypt peace & it has worked extremely well.

-The US gives hundreds of millions of dollars in appeasement aid to Pakistan & in return they have become a major US ally.

-Jordan & Saudi Arabia also receive US appeasement aid (either regular or military)

-N. Korea is just the latest to receive appeasement from the US by the US lifting sanctions & paying them off with fuel oil supplies in return for them shutting down their nukes.

Every 1st world country in the world has used appeasement at one time or another in order to solve a difficult & potentialy enourmous costly problem. Does it always work? No. The worst case being WW2, but often times it does work, like with the Israel-Egypt peace agreement or the Cuban missile crisis which saved tens of 1000s if not hundreds of millions of lives. So before you go totally disregarding appeasement think about it's successes & not just WW2.

I paid £300 pounds as a refundable security deposit for a job. As I was unable to join in that job I asked the employer to give me back money. He gave me an account payee cheque which was rejected, the reason written was "refer to the account onwer". He again gave me another cheque which was rejected by the reason "account has closed" . I tried to contact the person and he is playing some game, he is not attending my calls and whenever I go to his shop to see him, the staff says that he is not there. Its been 1 month since I am struggling with this. What I could do legally to get my money back. I have the bank letters mentioning the cheque dissaproval and the 2nd cheque with me. I am an international student in UK.
