many countries in the world are becoming powerful...venezuela,
east asia, china, etc...they have discovered their wealth(oil and other resources) and are using money to improve their economies if they continue to work hard, they will try to surpass us...we have helped them by giving them loans in the past, outsourcing and investing in their economies also help them...many countries have begun to prosper and they are able to loan us money and buy goods/assets from america....so, the economy continues to grow globally ...unfortunately. america spends too much of its wealth on wars and must sustain quite a bit of debt....we are still economically stable, but we could have difficulties in the future if we must compete with others...there is nothing worng with being economically strong, but an economy must be solvent and stable... while we sre still unable to help those in poverty, victims of Katrina, we must ask ourselves just how rich are we??? since 90% of our nation's wealth resides in the upper 10% of the population, something is very wrong....there is much to think about and to change

In the Old Days India was the economic super power and all the old world came there to trade.Same was the case with China but look at their histories they never imposed their will on any other country rather these lands gave the world great religious thoughts like non violence and Buddhism. This will never happen that these two countries will go out and destroy other countries for their own gain.

Depends on the direction the world is going. China controls in the manufacturing; whereas India controls the technical world and customer services. Everything that we buys, seems to be made in China. Everything technical product seems to have customer services in India only. If we are going the direction of computer technology, India will take over. If we are going the direction of the old manufacturer world from Operation Management that the idea came from United States but Japan really made actions the idea, China will take over.
