Speak for yourself, there is no "we" and "us" as far as I am concerned. I haven't immigrated anywhere.

I agree with you, Americans do the same... Everybody is moving to Costa Rica legally and illegally... is a beautiful place, peaceful, no army, even though is in Latin America is a very stable country, there is more middle class people there than in the U.S and they have better education, have u ever heard of a Costarican living illegally in the U.S? Never... my respect for that country

November is one of the best times to visit the beaches of Guanacaste. We are located in Playas del Coco, the rentals in the area are quite reasonable. We have 2 Bedroom apartments available for between $60 and $70 per night as well as studios available on a weekly basis for prices around $300. If your looking for something more long term, as in a few months prices drop considerably. Some of the best people to speak to about finding a rental is the area realtor's. I know personally we have several clients that bought units that would love to rent them. Also from Playas del Coco there are about 30 other beautiful beaches nearby, and plenty of nightlife.

BRAVO!!!! I have been saying this for so long now!We do the same thing.Look at us,we think because we are americans that we are the chosen ones! We go where we want to go and when we want to go,why, because we are americans and were entilted.Give me a break! Do you know how humbled I feel when I visit Mexico and how friendly they are to me when I can barely communicate with them or when I visit friends there and they treat me better than family and I cant even invite them to visit me or my country because of the way americans preceive these people! America wake up what have we become!?!

be that as it may, it is the responsibility of those countries those Americans are in illegally in to deal with them if they choose to.
We deal with illegal aliens in accordance to our laws on the matter, it is up to other countries to deal with illegals according to theirs.
It could also be the case that the American who is living there is enough well off that they can afford to live there and not be a burden to that countries social services and possibly be contributing to that nations GNP.

Yes,That is true. But not only in CR but also in Panama,Brasil,Colombia and other south american countries. Not only to be illegal but to do pedo service, child
porno , child prostitution and scam other american expats in
Panama.
Check these sites for reference www.panama-guide.com (crime and punishment)
and www.noriegaville.com and
www.costaricaam.com
Look for Bruce Crosby,Hubert Kelly,Donald Leroy Johnson,
Roger Gallo, stories.....
Unfortunately we,the locals in our countries are beginning to complain about this serious issue.Costa Rica cancelled their
famous pensionado visa for this issue.Panama is thinking
about doing the same.

all i see from the people who don't agree with this post is a bunch of empty excuses and justifications. the truth is, if we want people to respect our country, we HAVE to repect theirs. and to the person who said you could "count the number of americans on one hand...." i would need more hands and toes to count the number of americans that i know personally, who've entered countries illegal with the specific intent to work illegally or participate in illegal activity (during their college days.) and among this group are current doctors, lawyers, CPA's, etc...not exactly the scum of american society.

LEGALLY entering a foreign country and then ‘overstaying’ the time limitation of one’s visa means that one will be required to pay a hefty fine when exiting that country (as do those who overstay their legally obtained visas in America).
American citizens visiting or residing in foreign countries are not allowed to:
1) get food stamps
2) get free education for all of their children
3) get free medical care or deliver an anchor baby who will automatically qualify for citizenship in that country.
4) get paid “under that table” and avoid paying taxes.
5) “cost” that foreign country $20-30 billion dollars net loss every year.
There is no foreign country in the world where fully one third of the prison inmates are American citizens who have committed violent crimes, drug dealing, rapes, murders, sexual assaults and other felonies.
Every foreign country, where Americans are welcomed, gain a great deal economically from the Americans who spend lots of money as tourists, visitors, retirees, workers, etc. They are welcomed in those foreign countries because they don’t take jobs away from the citizens of that country and demand “free” public services. Americans going abroad contribute much more financially to that country’s economy than they “cost”. Foreign countries spend millions of dollars in advertising to attract American tourists and businessmen.
One could count the number of Americans on one’s hand who have ever illegally entered a foreign country, without identification, with the intent to commit crime and/or end up in prison. Compare that to the 30 million illegals that are in America and the millions of illegals who have committed felonies and are serving time in prison. The average cost to keep a person in prison is $50,000 per person per year plus court costs.
Shame on us?? I don’t think it’s “the same thing”.

We as Americana's have been taught that we deserve everything because we live in a country of great power. So, we can't see further than the tip of our nose. We cry about the lawlessness of our immigrants, yet we're blind to our own.

The difference is that its not that common for Americans to be illegal in other countries, and if they are illegal, most of them have just overstayed their tourist visas. They´re generally not working illegally and sucking other country's welfare dry.
