-The US gave & still gives billions of appeasement aid to Egypt in return for Israeli-Egypt peace & it has worked extremely well.

-The US gives hundreds of millions of dollars in appeasement aid to Pakistan & in return they have become a major US ally.

-Jordan & Saudi Arabia also receive US appeasement aid (either regular or military)

-N. Korea is just the latest to receive appeasement from the US by the US lifting sanctions & paying them off with fuel oil supplies in return for them shutting down their nukes.

Every 1st world country in the world has used appeasement at one time or another in order to solve a difficult & potentialy enourmous costly problem. Does it always work? No. The worst case being WW2, but often times it does work, like with the Israel-Egypt peace agreement or the Cuban missile crisis which saved tens of 1000s if not hundreds of millions of lives. So before you go totally disregarding appeasement think about it's successes & not just WW2.

America has also paid appeasement to the Palestinians for years. Look how well that has worked.

Israel and Egypt worked because the leadership of both countries wanted it to, not because they got money for it.

If both sides don't want peace, all appeasement does is give them more money to buy arms to wage war.

Because they didn't want to get involved so dramatically. There is a history about the middle east, that it cannot be won over, or changed. Kings Henry I, II, III, Richard I, etc. The English tried to take the Holy Land, and they did for a while, but it didn't last. To me, in those days, it was for religious reasons, since the land of Jerusalem, has no real assets to help the world, as in oil, gold, silver, diamonds, or whatever else the world claims they need. It is basically a barren land. America doesn't want to OWN the Holy Land, we feel we must defend it, to help our best allies, the Jews in Israel.
The rest of the middle east, Jordon, Saudi Arabia, Iran, etc. think they have some right towards Israel, and the ownership of it. By God's own words, and straight from his mouth, He said NO, they don't! He, God the Father, gave Israel to the Jews, to have a place of their own, through David, whom God loved. The Jews before having Israel, never had a country to call their own. They were wanderers, nomads. As an American, I believe it is our duty to protect them, as they are a good friend to us, and alone in a vast area, controlled by people who hate them for no good reason. Israel doesn't terrorize innocent people. The extreme Muslims, and other faction's of that same religion do that! That is what I call LOW. In other words, it is a mental state, set down by the past, that freeing the middle east from terrorism, and hate is impossible. But it isn't! It can be done. IF YOU DON"T TRY, NOTHING WILL EVER HAPPEN, OR CHANGE.
