Like having sex with a minor he gets twenty years and if a woman does the same exact thing she gets six months.Just like that teacher that had sex with a thirteen year old kid and only got probation the first time and then after doing it a second time only got six months. And the other one Lorayna Bobbit who cut the mans penis off and only got a fine and community service .Boy I tell you if that was a guy who did something like cutting off a clitt .He would never see the light of day again. Why is the system so sexually bias a crime is a crime...

lots of people are telling me communism did not work. this is true. but also they say: in theory communism could work. i was just wondering..what do they mean 'it could work'? do they mean that yes, in theory, communism would create a sort of utopia? in my mind, a country in which you cannot improve your social or economic status however hard you try (and therefore have nothing to aim for, or wish for, or bother to live in hope of). basically, i just don't see why anybody could ever be happy under communism. am i making any sense?

why DO people say that in theory it could work? what do they consider to be 'working'? because i suppose i was only taking into account people's happiness?

but then i thought the whole point was that everyone would be happy if they have the same. maybe it is just that i disagree with that completely.

so basically : i'm confused. please help!

I am, and have always been intrigued with Canada's beautiful land, cooler weather, and less self absorbed people. I want to uproot myself from here in the states, and become a complete full time resident of Ontario. Their website is obscure about immigration. I am curious to know the steps involved in becoming a citizen there in laymans terms.

I know some people say, "Bush never saw a spending bill he didn't like." but I thought he ran on fiscal responsibility, yet we have a record deficit.

President Clinton vetoed nearly a hundred spending bills and created a surplus.

I was told a long time ago of a college freshman who told his father he did not know wether he he himself were a democrat or a republican. The father mentioned some recent grades of his son's. You have an A in a few of your classes, I noticed. The son said yes. Did your roommate get the same grades? No replied the son. Why not? The son said that his roommate was always having fun and studied very little. The father asked what if the college took one of your A's and shared it with the roommate's C and brought his up to a B and brought yours down to a B. Then you would have the same grade and be equal. The son said, well that wouldn't be fair. The father said, welcome ot the republican party.

Any thoughts?

In December, President Bush requested an additional $100 billion in supplimental funds for the war in Iraq. That sounds like a wee bit bigger than a surge. Are we heading for a full scale escalation over there?

I was asked to find one lie Rush told.
It wasn't hard. The first one I found was about a study by PEW. I thought this was good because someone referred to the PEW group doing research that showed Rush was so truthful. It isn't hard to find Rush "distortions"
Limbaugh wrong on Pew report, said "80 percent of them [journalists] will admit" to being liberals
One day after FOX News Channel host John Gibson falsely claimed that "80-some percent of reporters are self-described liberals," radio host Rush Limbaugh repeated the same falsehood on the July 13 broadcast of The Rush Limbaugh Show, specifically citing the poll that proves him wrong: "[M]ost of them [journalists] are liberals. Eighty percent of them will admit it in the latest press poll -- it was a -- that was a -- a Pew poll."

According to a report by The Pew Research Center for the People and the Press released on May 23, Limbaugh, like Gibson, was off by 46 percent for national journalists, and 57 percent for local journalists. The Pew report found that 34 percent of national journalists identified themselves as liberal; 54 percent identified themselves as moderate; and 7 percent identified themselves as conservative. Twenty-three percent of local journalists identified themselves as liberal; 61 percent identified themselves as moderate; and 12 percent identified themselves as conservative.

Even if Limbaugh had correctly stated the Pew report's numbers and said that 34 -- not 80 -- percent of national reporters "will admit" to being liberals, he would still have been disregarding commentary that accompanied the Pew report, which, as Media Matters for America has previously noted, specifically warned against drawing such conclusions.

I can't understand why people refuse to acknowledge that Puerto Rico is a latin american country, with it's own language, culture and more than 500 years of history. That Puerto Rico has it's own national anthem and it's own national olympic team and that the Puerto Rican nationality is recognized worldwide. You think this has to do with the present political association with the US as a self governing commonwealth (official name: Estado Libre Asociado {translation: Associated Free State
) ?
