I read that half of veterans do not receive GI Bill benifets, and that it is really difficult to claim them. And that even if you do claim them, the financial aid at colleges is reduced dollar for dollar what GI Bill benifets you recieve. So you don't get a net benifet. Is this true? Did the GI Bill help you pay for school, and did serving in the military help you get a higher education?

Or is this just a token example orchestrated by some larger more well connected industry competitor who has the power to pick who gets the media attention etc.

Some of the questions, answers, and opinions are ridiculous on here. Do people forget they can be prosecuted, investigated, etc for things they do online?

I just read this article in Yahoo not too long ago. I wish I still have the link but it so surprising that we as a taxpayer spends $11 per day to support their healthcare. That is around $300 per month. I don't even have my own health insurance because I can't afford one.

First of all, let me say this...I believe in freedom of choice, I also believe the destruction to fetus matter is akin to killing human life. Anyone who is opinionated to one extreme or the other has missed the bottom line. CONCERN FOR OTHERS, "Do unto others as you would have them do", the golden rule. The feelings that a young mother may have being left to fend for herself with a young child or a rape victim that was impregnated. On the other hand an wanted lifeform, who has no voice is being destroyed for the inconveniance of their being. So instead of arguing about it, lets look at it from an objective point of view and create a solution using problem solving skills. My Question is how about this? Instead of an abortion procedure using a similar procedure to extract the fetus at a early period of gestation and then incubating the fetus for the term in a proper parent or facility. Also, the possible storage using cryogenics until adoptive parent arrive. More details soon...

My roommate had a misunderstanding with law enforcement and was accused of DUI. She pled not guilty and the case has been delayed for two years now. I am moving to another state, and I want to take her with me! I dread the thought of having to find another Mormon roommate. Her lawyer said that once the trial happens, there should be no problem transferring her probation if she is somehow found guilty as she has no prior record or anything. Right now, she can't travel for more than 150 miles outside of the county though. I'm wondering 1. if it would be possible to have her drive her car out of the state before trial; 2. if it would be possible for her to register her vehicle in in the new state when she gets there; and 3. if she tries to register her vehicle, will she get arrested at the DMV? I know some of you will probably answer that she is a drunk Mormon and deserves to die, but that is not my question. I don't want to convince her to go and have her thrown in jail..

I asked this question earlier but didn't get the answers i was looking for. I know that driving without insurance is wrong but please hear me out!!! This Sat night the cops followed me home and said that they had done a check on my car and said that it has no insurance, unfortunately this is true. They didn’t arrest me, but said that I would get a court summons in the post and probably a fine, the cop never gave me anything on the night, like a ticket or anything, was he supposed to?

Has this happened to you or anyone you know? Do you know what will happen to me as I am quite worried? I am female, 21yrs old, in the UK. What will they say in court and how long does it take to receive a court summons in the post? Please help and answer truthfully, and without any stupid answers, if you give silly answers you'll get bad ratings!
