Some of the questions, answers, and opinions are ridiculous on here. Do people forget they can be prosecuted, investigated, etc for things they do online?

Yes. I feel people get in a delusional state that they can't be traced, but they can be. Some of the stuff is only childish behavior by adults that should know better. But other stuff could cause people to get investigated. Even if they only meant it as a joke or something to rile the other side up with.

Edit: Niecy there were some questions a while back that I felt I needed to warn the person to stop writing those type of questions unless he/she didn't mind being put under investigation. I could try to dig through my answered question list to see if I can find it for you.

Great question. One I ask myself.

Not so much about the threat of prosecution, more the fact that this isn't chess.

There are real lives and deaths in the balances, and it is easy to forget that.

I have seen silly questions but nothing that would warrant prosecution. You can't go to jail for Bush-bashing. Its just an opinion.

yeah, it's very easy to disassociate when you are online like this.. it's the same as how some military equipment has been likened to playing a video game.. you don't actually have to view the consequences of your actions.. until they catch up with you that is.

This isn't real life. It's mostly anonymous venting. If you are refering to those who advocate assasinations, you have a point.

The talk about assassinations should have consequences, even if they didn't mean it
