The USA, as a whole, isn't ready for a female president. You have to remember: the bulk of all representatives in all levels of government are still men. And you can't say that it's because men will only vote for men. There are more women in this country (and in the world) than there are men. This means there are a lot of women that are still voting for men as well.

It will happen someday. In our lifetimes? Possibly. I think we're more likely to have a black male president before we'll have any female president.

Do I believe we should have a woman as president? I don't think it matters one way or the other. What we need is someone who LOVES the USA and puts the USA first. Man, woman, black, white... it just doesn't matter in the long run. People need to get over their fear of difference and embrace the thing that makes us all the same...

We are all citizens of the United States of America!

Sure in fact there are a couple of opportunities coming up one option is that congress impeaches both Bush and Cheney that makes Rep. Pelosi president. The other is in 2008 when Hillary runs for president the anti conservative mood may still be in play by then maybe.

No.
This has been a warrior nation, most fighting nations choose a man for a leader. There is just a perception that man are better at fighting and a woman would not do. Many women have come to power by default or inheritance to their office, and have
done an adequate job, but other than the Amazons I have not herd of any women up to the job. These, are not my beliefs, they are my perception from observing politics and history. Personally, it would be a matter of indifference to me, I just am not into upmanship games, and could not care less.

Yes. I believe someday we will have a woman president. Look at all the young women serving our country in the military. To me these women are gearing themselves up to be able to become commander and chief. (Isn't that one of the things they criticize President Bush for that he didn't serve in the military, so how can he be commander and chief?) Although I feel Condoleezza Rice could do it, since she's our Secretary of State and works closely with the Pentagon officials.

Maybe one day, but I think the US is still male-dominated (as an example look at the Fortune lists for richest people, there are women in the top ten but they're not number 1 yet).

I am a woman but we will have to wait for along time,i don't think men are ready for something like that.Even if it did happen the woman will probably be accused of feminism some along the line. For shure we need some change!

Yes, and I hope it's soon...Lord knows, women can't do any worse than some of the men we've had...recently, and throughout our history.
HOWEVER: I sure as hell hope it's NOT that damn Hillary Clinton piece of sh*t.
