What are the concept of direct and indirect rule?

Indirect-what we have in the US now. We pick folks to run the government and hope they do as we want.

Direct-Everyone of us votes on things and the majority rules(and minorities get screwed...just hope your not one). We could have a more direct rule, if say we voted for government types every week or so...
