Stem-cell research? Killing to save another's life? Is it right? I don't understand how this can be justified. What do you think?

Even though he is himself a former army ranger.

"Somehow, the more soldiers that die, the more legitimate the illegal invasion becomes," Kevin Tillman wrote.

"Somehow American leadership, whose only credit is lying to its people and illegally invading a nation, has been allowed to steal the courage, virtue and honor of its soldiers on the ground," he wrote.

From his constant mantra of "stay the course" now, Bush states with a straight face that he has never been "stay the course".

WTF?

How can anyone ever believe this person, ever? BTW, this is a question about Bush, NOT liberals or clinton, I know they lied too, but nowhere on the order of magnitude of Bush. He lies far more often and with far worse consquences.

So come on you GOP supporters, How can you defend this one?

The only time many of us EVER interact with the police is when they are handing out tickets for minor infractions of the speeding law. Do you feel this gives the police a rather significant black eye in terms of how they are viewed by the general public?

Since the Shittes and Kurds don't want to be apart of a unified Iraq, should we parition the country? Better yet, CAN we do such a thing?

Note: Parition is a idea that involves breaking Iraq into three or more parts, which would allow the Sunnis, the Shittes, and the Kurds to rule their own territory.

While there was some media coverage of Rangel's initiative prior to the formal introduction of the bill, there has been a deafening silence: since February 2006, not a single article or editorial has appeared in print on the Universal National Service Act of 2006.

http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c109:H.R.4752.IH:

HR 4752 or The Draft will apply to all persons in the United States, including women, between the ages of 18 and 42 to perform a [two year] period of military service or a period of civilian service in furtherance of the national defense and homeland security, and for other purposes."

The bill applies to both US citizens and non-citizens, to men and women. There does not appear to be a provision which would exempt women who are pregnant and/or caring for infants/children in a young age.

Why does it seem that black men and women that are Republicans can be viciously attacked with name calling by democrats while the general public and the media appear to have no problem ?

Since Lynn Swann (gubernatorial candidate for Pennsylvania) started his campaign ,I have noticed and heard some harsh and down right cruel comments by many locally well known and prominent democrats ( I know some of these people as I was a democrat for over 20 years) .

IF the media - television or newspapers mentions it at all - it is brushed aside as the person was "misquoted or misspoke" but they never apologize either. Why is this tolerated ?

I don't live with blinders on but I just hadn't noticed it before.

Watching the morning news, lady was on, talking about movies to watch with kids, she mentioned The Sound of Music. Great flick.
BUT, she THEN said to TURN IT OFF AFTER the wedding scene because "You don't want to have to explain WHY they had to escape Austria"

WHY NOT? IT'S HISTORY. PEOPLE ARE STILL ALIVE THAT SURVIVED NAZI GERMANY.

I'd rather be historically ACCURATE than Politically Correct anyday.

anyone want to prove to me how higher taxes are more beneficial to the economy and to people than lower? did you liberals know that if you raise taxes too high then it worsens the business environment? did you know that every country runs on business? without businesses, the tax money would come from NOWHERE, so you cant say its bad to support business. if you lower taxes, it makes the business environment (1)more favorable, (2)more people and businesses will invest (3)when people dont have to pay high taxes, they have more money to spend, (4)when people spend its good for business, (5)if business is good then the government gets more revenue, (6)if taxes are high then business doesnt work so well, people dont spend so much, the government gets less money even though taxes are higher, because more revenue is collected through SALES than through income tax. even Hillary knows this, but shes a self-proclaimed socialist. dont bring the deficit up, its because of the war, obviously.

The 'Iraq is not as violent a place as it appears' news conference from Baghdad was sickening.

3000 people a month are being killed in Iraq. This makes the 600,000 assessment understated.

If the military keep this up they will lose my and many other peoples respect and support.

Yesterday I outlined some of my more serious issues. But, since running a country should be fun, too, I have decided to outline, below, some of the policies I think would give everyone a fun boost, and return the pride to being an American. Will you still vote for me after reading this?
and to all you who answered yesterday, THANKS! Even the ones who didn't support my policies were supportive of my aims. That made me feel great!

All beaches will now be NUDE beaches.
Every newly born child shall be issued a banjo.
In all parks and rec areas, at least ONE drinking fountain shall shoot out Hawaiian Punch.
I WILL hang a large, lit-up model of the Starship Enterprise from the ceiling of the Oval Office.
I will also always wear a shirt, jacket and tie while in the Oval Office as a sign of respect. NO BJ's under the Resolute Desk!
President's Council on Physical Fitness will be back!
New Nationwide Law: No cellphones at dinner!
And finally...Mav will be Vice President!
