Being able to vote anonymously is a very important right - seems to me that many of my fellow Democrats have forgotten this. Am I the only person that realizes this?

If you trust your government enough to let them know who you are voting for then you are a more trusting person than I am.... The allegations of voter fraud are over-blown. I fear George Bush and his Republican-run Justice Dept. knowing I voted against them more than I fear the small chance that somebody will be able to rig an electronic voting machine.

I guess I was asking for this when I asked this kind of a questionstion - but I AM NOT A GOD DAMN REPUBLICAN. The fact is - it is not any easier/harder to cheat in an election that is using e-voting than reuglar paper ballots. But this isn't that important - I do not want the government getting to have a record of who I've been voting for... This is what they do in DICTATORSHIPS in order to make sure people are voting the right way...

I am very saddened that most of my fellow Democrats' asnwers indicate that they don't understand the benifits of voting anonymously.

I'm with you on this. The only thing I can think of is that the little socialist minions are listening to their socialist bosses and being told that a paper trail is a good thing. They have no clue that they are setting themselves up for voter fraud and abuse by allowing people to be ostracized or abused for voting one way or another. They are too stupid to understand that this would be the first step to a dictatorial regime.

If you think the chance of them rigging it is small you are not informed. I could put a bunch of links here, but I am sure you would ignore them to validate your opinions. Only hand counted at the precinct paper ballots will do to restore voter confidence,

We need transparency and no electronic machines and tabulators. Ask your rep to cosign/support HB 6200 which will make all presidential elections be on paper, hand counted and posted at the precinct in full view

See this 40 year republican testify under oath before US Congress that he designed vote rigging software for Jeb Bush running mate, then speaker of the House, Feeny. in Florida 2000.

He is a whistle-blower and passed two lie detector tests. Interestingly, he is now running against Feeney.

I don't care if the whole world knows I want this crime family out. The more people that know, the less likely it is that my vote will have been stolen. People are dying literally at his hands and you're worried that someone might find out that you like his regime? On the other hand, if you do not like his regime, hold your head high in pride and start doing something to prevent it from creating further damage to America and the rest of the world. I value my privacy, but it's only a small sacrifice.

Hahahahaa...Ah and so the brainwashing has begun.
We want a paper trail because we dont trust the republicans to not tamper with votes. Diebold is owned by a republican supporter. Imagine not trusting the crooked people.
If you arent doing anything wrong, who do you care who knows who you vote for? Or does that just apply to warrantless wiretapping of phones.

why do you care if people know who you voted for?? Anonymous ceased to be important when we got civilized enough not to shoot people if they didn't vote for the right person! What I don't understand is how we are going to stop 20 million illegals with stolen social security number from voting? So much for honest elections but then we haven't had those since bush stole florida...
