They did not legalize "public sex". I would bet if you take your mate downtown and get dirty on a park bench, your butt would be thrown in the slammer, same as everywhere else.

What the court did is to throw out a bs law that said that adults could not choose to pay to see other adults have sex.

Good for Oregon! We have too many state/local governments that feel because a small percent of the population thinks something is wrong, or obscene, or they don't agree with it, that no percent of the population has the right to do it.

Our country was not meant to be run this way, I feel the founding fathers are rolling over in their graves at the continuing infringement of our personal freedoms.

Sigh. Did you read the article? It is not public sex. It is in a club. Public would mean out in the open where anyone can see it.Big difference.
If you disagree with it don't go in the club. But you have no right to stop anyone who is of legal age from going in.

I'm glad they have a broad interpretation of the First Amendment.

Given that fact, maybe they will mount a strong challenge to the McCain-Feingold law, which aims to stifle political speech before an election. That's the very heart of free speech.

Do you live in Oregon? Based upon the way you asked the question I'll assume No. If that is the case - Why do you care?

Your question is misleading, the ruling refers to shows, that people pay to see in private venues, it's not like people can just go to the park and have sex in public, that's still illegal

Bcasue sex is just sex and there is nothing wrong with it. Only uptight christians and other religious scum try to brainwash people into thinking it is sinful and unnatural.

This is not public sex. If you don't want to see it, don't enter the clubs!
