It is pretty disturbing how people will agree with a country led by a tyrant of a dictator who systematically starves his people, orders farmers to stop producing food in favor of poppy for opium production, his soldiers sell relief food to each others families--the only ones with money in the market while children who entire family already starved to death look on.
Then they blame the US-- popular scapegoat-- for everything and people take the side of a dictator who orders that people suspected of speaking out against him get tortured and executed, their entire family gets arrested, sent to a workcamp, tortured, executed, even children.
How the hell could anyone side with a country like that besides utter ignorance of what is going on in that country?

The farm across the road from my house, has just been given planning permission to build a new milking parlour. Neither me or my immediate neighbours were consulted on this application. The detailed report which went to the local planning committee states, "the buildings would be viewed against the backdrop of the existing agricultural complex from all viewpoints surrounding the farm which satisfactorily mitigates against visual intrusion into the open countryside." This is simply not true, as the view from our properties will be blocked by the new building. Do we have any right to compensation? If so who do we claim it from?

Just as a point of interest, when my husband and I applied for planning permission to extend our house (side elevation), the occupants of the farm had a personal letter from the planning department to ask if they had any objection.

I am not a criminal nor am i facing prison but it's always fascinated me to know what it's really like inside one. Is it like on the TV where there are the "top dog" inmates who run the prison and get privelages? Is there much crime in a prison between inmates such as assaults? Or is it nice and cosy and people don't know what they're missing?

I'd like to hear from anyone who works or has been in one if you don't mind talking about it.

my wife and little boy were driving going north and an on-coming car going south ran them off of the road. there wasn't any contact between the two vehicles, but after she was run off, a couple miles down the road that car wrecked into a ditch on the northbound lane. the woman was charged with dui and wreckless driving. i have liability insurance only and tried to retain a lawyer, who stated he didn't have the time to take it to court due to running for judge. i live in kentucky. do i have a case against this woman or am i wasting my time?? the biggest issue with proving this i was told is where there was no contact. Before my wife and the officer on call knew about the wreck of this woman down the road, my son described the color and make of the car, that positively matched the womans car. Please let me know if there is anything i can do to get my car paid for??

We live in a modern age, but conform to a constitution that offers more protection to a single person, than it does for the majority. Is this what our forfathers had in mind, to have things cramed down our throats because one person out of 100 claims it violates his rights, and all must to conform to accomodate this one person?

When you read history many of the famous dictators have similar personality traits as many prominent figures of the modern world. Won't mention names or i'll probably be lynched.

We may have a stable economy but most people are in very heavy finacial debt worst in europe, surely this will be trouble in the future?

Unemployment may be low, but thats just because the gov. has increased people not needed in the civil service! People just get paid to do nothing, i know my sister did it for a year at DEFRA. And its us taxpayers that pay higher and higher taxes + stealth taxes to support these 'jobs'.

Anyway these 2 things are the only redeeming features i can think of the labour givernment and even they don't seem genuine.
