This less or more disrespectful than the classic "silent treatment"? Step mom/American sponsors 5 kids from husband's 1st marriage to immigrate to USA. She has no bio kids/1st marriage. Step kids & husband's 2nd language is English. Sometimes when angry at either parent the kids use silent treatment. Answering adults & others only in nods, grunts or not at all. Step mom when alone with angry kid gets it worse. Silence/they speak but not to her, and in their language (the husband/their father also does this angry or not). Husband almost always working says “Absolutely not!” to family/couples counseling, & “I can't do anything about it! Handle it!” None of this occurred until after this couple married & kids moved into the US. This is new behavior from husband/kids (as of 10 MOs ago) for the step mom. Is it all her fault, the Dad's, kids who are 13+? As to language power trips what about American society which does not encourage immigrants to assimilate as much as in the past?

today I found out that the general elections for my area are going to be held at a church.Elections should not be held in a church , period. I thought that this was violating some seperation of church and state law. But apparently I dont even understand the basic constitution. It is a well known fact that certain parties within the US funded the IRA which resulted in acts of terrorism against innocent victims in the UK,
How do you feel about the fact that your countrymen have subsidisied awful acts of terrorism and you have now been the victims subjected to the atrocities that come from such actions?....
I do not wish to offend but for some of us Brits this has been a bone of contention for some time (sorry)

If these illegals knew that every police officer would arrest them for being here illegally they would start staying in their own countries.
In my opinion, the problem with "ILLEGAL" Aliens, people who are here in this country in direct disobedience of our laws, is that their law breaking doesn't stop, and yet they think they are better than U.S. Citizens and should not be prosecuted for their law breaking.

Case in point: The "Illegal Aliens" falsify tax documents, and other government paperwork.

If I do that, the IRS fines me, charges me exhorbitant interest and fee's and will throw me in jail. They seize houses, business's and other assets to satisfy tax judgements against U.S. Citizens.

The Illegal Aliens get a pass on this.

I falsify a drivers license, fail to provide insurance, or drive unlicensed, and I find myself in jail, being fined, and in some cases, having my vehicle impounded and even sold at Sherrifs Auction.

The Illegal Aliens get a pass on this as well.

I find myself in court, facing Federal, State and/or Local charges of disobeying the law, I have to pay an attorney $200-$300 per hour.

The Illegal Aliens get a pass on this as well, unless of course the ACLU gets their paws in the middle of it. And by the way, while I'm blasting the ACLU, keep in mind that they managed to wangle a law that requires the Federal Government to pay all of their legal fee's for the lawsuits they file. In other words, they're using our own money against us in order to undermine American Civil Liberties by promoting Illegal Alien Civil Liberties.

And that ladies and gentlemen, is wrong.

The entire way we deal with illegal aliens is WRONG.

A man or woman can only be truly LOYAL to one country.

Having dual, triple, or even more citizenships gives rise to conflicts of interests when "push comes to shove".

I contend that "citizenships of convenience" should be abloished.

What do you folks think?
