This is a serious question. Can I be a democrat if I hold the following tenets?

Abortion is an abomination and should be illegal 99% of the time.

Welfare should be temporary and housing vouchers should exclude single-family homes. A home is something you should work for, not be given.

Affirmative action leads to greater incidences of failure.

I really do not give a crap about gay issues one way or the other. If they want to get married then let em. Besides, gay divorces would be funny as hell.

Where do I fit in politically?

Despite the fact that bin Laden had declared war on America in 1998 the Clinton Administration never countered that we were at war with terrorists. In a radio address on October 14, two days after the attacks, Bill Clinton said "even when America is not at war, the men and women of our military risk their lives every day." In an October 18 memorial service, Clinton only devoted one small paragraph to the terrorists. He never mentioned any grave threat by name, not even Osama bin Laden or Al Qaeda. In a "Meet the Press" interview just 3 days after the attack, National Security Advisor Sandy Berger did not even bring up Al Qaeda or the risk it posed to Americans.

I ask BAD QUESTIONS about Bush and always get a few putdowns along with a passle of "thumbs down" about the quality of the question even though the YEA!!-GIVE-HIM-H*LL crowd's responses are ALWAYS in the majority.

SO, EQUAL TIME FOR GOOD THINGS TO BE SAID ABOUT BUSH. Like, "Well, he always is clean-shaven," "I think he takes baths regularly", "He doesn't drool", and the like, you see.

Yes, "I can't think of anything" responses are accepted here.

OK, PONY UP SOME "NICE" THINGS ABOUT BUSHIE. (If you can.)

Ready, Set, GO.....

I think it's interesting how the more messed up we get with Iraq and the more people get fed up with Bush, the conservatives always try so much harder to shoulder the previous administration with all the blame. I love this confrontation with fox news where an interviewer thought he had Clinton on the spot and got his butt handed to him.

Where is all of the wealth of oil that Bush supposedly went to war with Iraq to steal???

As supply has remained steady and demand has decreased the price of fuel has dropped. Why hasn't it been a sharper decline now that we have free access to all of the middle east oil we want?

This question is dripping with sarcasm for those of you who can't read between the lines....

The answer is, we didn't go to war for oil.. get over it already.

that you would bomb them back to the stone age if they did not support the war. come on now be honest. I met guys from Goodyear in the States comming up to the company I worked for saying the muslims smell like pork because they are all burning. Be honest - I know you guys like to see people crushed and humiliated -- all the time - all the time you do it. I've been attacked in other countries because the people thought i was american with the canadian accent I have it sound the same. I have to wear my flag for protection. Be honest those of you who are proud

I have read some pretty outlandish claims from both liberals and conservatives.

For example, "Bush's IQ is so low that he didn't graduate from high school."

Or, "When will Bush keep his promise to allow poeple to buy drugs from canada?"

Or, "When are we going to impeach Bush?"

Or, "The constitution says..... (fill in the blank)"

It saddens me to think that there is a body of people who can not or do not think for themselves. Who chose to simply believe what they hear rolling out of the mouths of the talking heads on CNN. That they chose to make themselves sound like idiots simply because they don't take five minutes to research something before asking it.

So, how many "askers" actually research their question before asking it?

My son was 14yrs old, three years ago and charged with possion of marijauna of less than 20 grams. The state of Florida extradited him back from his home in Virginia for absconding from probation. This is just crazy, he is now sentenced to a level 6 program in Florida. 6 to 12 months for a joint. How does this make him a better citizen? Who can we get to help us fight this?

I hear this alot lately, If the illegal immigrant wasnt here, then this crime would never have happened (even thought it was an accident). Ok, but what about the people that donate their body to science when they die or those that give blood, those things would never have happened either. We cant live in a hypothetical world, "this coulda woulda shoulda happened if things were this way"...they ARENT that way, We can catch more criminals and keep people better documented if we legalize those that are here, then they can get health insurance, they can get drivers licenses, and car insurance. Agree....or Disagree?

I have seen many questions and "commentaries" about the illegal immigrant issue. Even asked a couple myself. And many people have made the comment they know "illegal" or "undocumented" immigrants (live next door to, date, etc). Is it not the duty of a legal citizen of the United States to report this violation of law?
