I had a similar problem in a street where I lived. We kept a log of all comings and goings to the house. Car registrations number etc. We then handed this information over to the police and I don't know if it was our information but within a few weeks this person was arrested.

Try setting up a neighborhood watch - a few neighbors can volunteer each night to hang around the drug dealer's favorite hangouts - streetcorners, etc. where he usually deals. He's not likely to do a deal right there on the street if there are people out there watching. Also, the people who actually buy drugs from him are less likely to do so if other people are around.

Wow,I was really surprised at some of the answers here. You are at least trying to be a part of the solution, instead of part of the problem.I don't know where you live, but I think this program is nation wide. It's called the"WE TIP HOT LINE",you can call your local police, and ask them for the #.When you call the tip line they will tell you as soon as they answer the phone, not to give your name. They will ask you questions, and answer them as best you can.Everything will remain anonymous. These "pushers" can be very dangerous,as I'm sure you already know. The crap that's on the streets today,is is made from toxic junk that you could't pay a "normal" person to injest it,and they're pretty much "hooked" after the first time using. It's killing our kids and adults. The way I look at it is,if you're of legal age and want to screw yourself up that's your business. But leave our kids to still have some innocence. These people are the scum of the earth, their only motivation in life is to make money to support their habit. They don't care about anything else. They are no better than child molesters. The county I live in has one of the highest rates of meth users in the states.I've lost 4 members in my family,in the last 1 1/2yrs.The youngest being 32.And friends I've lost in the last 2yrs to meth and or heroin,I've lost count. The youngest being 10yrs old.He got his start from his mother(if you dare to call her that). She was "pimping" him out,to support her habit. She didn't go to her son's funeral, cause she was so screwed up,she didn't even know he had o.d.,she died a year later from injecting some REALLY bad stuff. She was found in an ally with the needle still in her arm.At autopsy they found she had been sexually violated,"POST MORTUM"by at least 3 to 4 different men,(if you can call them "MEN")How sick do you have to be to rape a corpse! You can't help anyone that doesn't want help. But you can sure make it a little harder to get the junk.If everyone cared enough like you,to want to rid this kind of scum in your neighborhood we may be able to get more of these"people" off the streets.Good for you,for caring.Be careful and God Bless.
P.S. You might also want to find out if any of your neighbors want to start a "NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH"and have everyone on the lookout for the scum. Also get a petition signed by as many people as you can.Bring a copy to the police dept.and inform them that you are going to send a copy to your local Congress.House of Representatives,Governor, and Mayor.Let EVERYONE know, you are not going to stand by and watch your neighborhood turn into trash, because of this kind of money grubbing scum. Again, good luck.

i read in the Times a few years ago drug dealers made teh best neighbours..they were up til the early hours, they always had one eye lookimg out of hte window, they want only a quiet life... they pay cash for everything...
seriously. you need evidence, and proof, or youre in a world of grief... and even if you get the proof, and goto court, he might well still get off with it... then what are you going to do?
ignore the drug dealer..try sniffing for rapists and paedophiles... or taliban terrorists, they are a much bigger threat to society.

My best advice would be to call your local police department and report a possible drug dealer. They will definatly keep a close eye on him until they have solid proof. Good luck!

call up the police and say your area concerned parent or neighbor -- DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR NAME. All they want to get it busts they dont care if someone gets their house torched by an angry dealer. Exaggerate everything. Say the dealer is pimping out kids etc etc.. they will sweep him off somwhere else at least

More info please. How do you know he is a drug dealer? Speak to the police, but depending on where you are, if its just small time they may be unwilling to do anything - they are often aware of them but leave them too it to watch them and get the guys a few rungs up the ladder.

call the police, and give as many details as possible: clothing descriptions, vehicles/license plates, precise address
offer to speak with a vice unit (their specialty), as many general police desks are overwhelmed with normal routine things, and might not get around to your drug dealer a.s.a.p.
