I support Bush and know his intentions were twofold. Destroy Saddam's regime and any threats it might pose AND to improve the oil situation for himself and his buddies. It's no secret and there is nothing wrong with it. Oil control is in the best interest of our country. Oil makes people rich. Nations have battled for control of resources since the beginning of war.

Gee.. I've really convinced my self that the price of oil is going down because we have elections coming up. That really must be just a coincidence.
I really think its you republicans who cant read between the lines. if the GOP win both the house and the senate, you can bet oil will shoot up higher than it was be for. but if the Dem's win it will keep dropping.

We went to war to prevent oil from entering the market. As production stays low the price stays high. That is where the money is made.

no, we went to war to bring about the rapture.
cuz it can't be for WMDs, they aren't there.
Couldn't be to quell the terrorist threat, the US has determined we are in a higher threat level than pre 9-11
Couldn't be to get Bin Laden, cause he was either already dead or we really just didn't care (Bush's words, "I could care less about him" after the capture of Saddam)
______
To RICKY above -
Shells, minute amounts. Not weapons of MASS destruction, could have been used on MAYBE a platoon. Enjoy your mountain - er, molehill

You're not going to get liberals to admit they were wrong. When the liberal viewpoint differs from reality, the liberals believe that it is reality that has it wrong.
They are still chanting "where are the WMDs in Iraq?" several months after we found shells of Sarin nerve gas there.....
