Let's be honest, most of these people are just shooting each other because of petty differences or something else stupid. Most of these people are just worthless thugs or gang members, why not just let them kill themselves? I know some die in the cross fire, but if we just let them go they'll kill themselves out. We should stop spending police time and resources on this trash we call people. It'd also free up the prisons and the number of people on welfare would go down, etc etc. I say we strive to double the murder rate every five years until it gets so high it'll decrease due the lack of them out there.

I hear this again and again from conservatives... and I'm just trying to get it straight...

they always say "well it's not affecting you personally, is it?"

so, as long as something doesn't affect me personally, I shouldn't care about it?

I think history supports that view... no one has ever started by taking a few liberties away and expanded to taking them all... right?

For those of you who don't know: This question was asked by President Dubya Bush a few years ago.
I read something on Yahoo! about "ask a stupid question day" so naturally I went with a question from the president.
I am very curious to hear some real, straight-forward answers to Dubya's stupid question. Aaaaand GO!

i'm not saying how i feel about the issue one way or the other, but when people say, "illegals" instead of "illegal immigrants"- to me, it makes it sound like the person's very existence is somehow illegal.

i thought the mexicans were supposed to be the "lazy" ones- but americans seem to be too lazy to vocalize an entire phrase, rather than abbreviate it to the point where it loses it's meaning.

All I have seen is a big increase in spouse visa prices, increases in tax money for the Mexican border when more people are coming over some being brought in by immigration border patrol vehicles themselves, and even more student visas being handed out without applying the new rules. If it is all about the money why don't they just say so and charge terrorists so much they cannot come in at any price?

Whats the difference between a world war and a Conservative promise. The Conservative promise causes more harm.

Why do Conservatives wear ear muffs? To avoid the draft. http://www.nhgazette.com/news/chickenhawks/politicans_platoon/

How can you tell a FAX was sent by a Conservative? There's a stamp on it.

I tried to be honest in my answers, I was left of center, but really a moderate in my answers. But I really tried to give my opion without attacking for no reason. After a few (what I thought were good, at least thoughtful) answers, I got tossed from the site, 3,500 spam messages into my mailbox. I know it was done by one of a few very Right, shallow people on this site. I'm done here, just thought i should tell people, that those following dogma are likely to do anything to shut up honest attempts at truth..

Why is it that we have not seen a "cigarette comercial" on tv in years and yet almost EVERY commercial break is riddled with those for alcoholic beverages? Just a small quandry about the inner workings of our society and the rules of politics as they govern these two things. No prayer in schools, no cigarette commercials or ads in magazines, yet promotion of alcohol products everywhere you look. Does anyone else find this interesting or even worth pondering? Interesting that we seemingly are always hearing something about some money monger suing some tobacco company for something yet I do not seem to recall even ONE mention, EVER about anyone suing any alcohol company for anything and I find it very interesting that this is not a bigger deal. If I were a tobacco company I would be raising all kinds of havoc over this yet they do not seem to be and if they are then we are not hearing about it. I just think it a very large public injustice to target one and not all. Hypocritical!

Whatever happened to the Democratic Party, the one that was the voice of the working class, the middle class, the large majority of us Americans?

Sadly, it, too, has been hijacked. Just like the Republican Party has been hijacked by the far right the far left has hijacked the Democratic Party.

The far left does not represent the majority of Americans any more than the far right does.

Don't you think it's time to take back your party?

It seems a great majority of people are not too happy with our President, so is there anything you can think of, that he can do that will put a big hefty smile on your face, if you`re one of those dissatisfied persons?

I'm certainly not the only one who thinks the Republican Party has been hijacked by the far right. I only wish more Republicans had the balls to take their party back. I miss the GOP of honorable men and women. Even when you didn't always agree with them you still believed they were sincere in their beliefs.

Senator Hagel (a decent Republican) also has voiced his concerns:

If Bush is not respecting the constitution does that equate to the pope not respecting the ten commandments? Would that not make him a hypocrit?
