Everyone knew for years and years that the levees were not designed to stand against the force of this type of hurricane. The sheer force of the water was enough to burst through and bust up the levees as it did.

There are a number of video's of the levy breaks. They washed away because of the swell in the Gulf waters.

Oh my goodness, here we go again...distraction..distraction, what's your fraction....the levys broke because of poor construction and poor maintenance...the National, state and local government failed it's citizens, cause most of them are not tax payers...
do you think anything like that would happen in rich Manhattan, dude I live here...Ground zero cleanup started the next day. The government down there is so stupid, starting with the Governor who is afraid to do anything, or blames everyone for her lack of leadership.
