You got it. The acts are just blatant unjustified violations of federal law.
{EDIT to AhHa} OK. I'll explain it using small words.
Only Congress can declare war. Congress did not declare war. Thus, we are not at war. What part of that can't you understand?
{EDIT to ProudAmerican and Corezink} Would be please cite the Public Law (congressional bill) that declared war? Nobody else can seem to find one, including the Library of Congress.

Only Congress has the power to declare war, Congress has not declared war, that is fact.
technically, and Historicly this will be called a "conflict" just like nam.
Congress did at one time declare war on poverty in America, how did that work out? The bigger question is. What President would invade Iraq after they surrendered after Desert Storm?. Iraq had no planes, no tanks and half it's Army had deserted. I just read a story today where Iraqis are marrying off 12 year olds to get them out of Iraq because of the civil war there. Iraq has over 300,000 civilians dead, and no one knows how many were "terrorist", no one. The dead are in fact "liberated".

This current "war" on terrorism is nothing compared to what is coming (according to prominent political analysts), and the transgressions upon our civil liberties now is also nothing compared to what it'll be in the wake of the big one - the coming big WMD terrorist attack in America. (I am currently writing a book to warn about this danger and propose some answers, but I am not a prominent person, and the book will, I suspect, be largely ignored.)

When did you get back from indoctrination? The week after 9/11 a joint session of congress most certainly did. the kissy kissy liberals keep changing their minds (?? that can't be right OMG )
Is it a "Declaration of War" STUPID there is no sovern nation involved. Just a bunch of freaky religious zealots. You can't declare war on individuals. but we can authorize action against criminals (that is if you believe killing 3000 innocents is wrong) My rights are intact and I have no fear. except you I'm not sure.
And your boggie man ( men) were in 4 airplanes over NY + and too many muslims cheered around the world. Go back to your safe house.

You're on the right track here. This whole war on terror is just a big bunch of B.S. they're trying to feed us, so they can start world war 3, and wipe out as many people as they can, in order to set up their new world order fascist police state.

We are legally at war. War was declared on 9/11 and was approved immediately in Congress.

Technically we have been at war since 9/11.
Some people disagree about where the war has been fought, but its all legal.
Millions of people want to kill Americans and the President is doing everything he can to help us.

Because it's all a con, read 1984. If it was Osama that declared war why attack Iraq which had nothing to do w. it and was the most secular country in the region.
