If Bush is not respecting the constitution does that equate to the pope not respecting the ten commandments? Would that not make him a hypocrit?

Hypocrite is too big of a word for GWB to understand, let alone actively be.
He not only is not respecting the constitution, he believes (and this is demonstrated in his actions) that it is something to be conveniently used and applied only when it is of service to his quest for domination or to bail some business cronies out of a jam. In essence, he has made a Kleenex out of the cornerstone of the US - something to wipe his nose and then toss.
He is the high school bully on a grander scale. He never grew to understand that being a rich, privileged white boy is not representative of the population, so he keeps acting like the college jerk that he was, only now, people die and starve because of it. I think we were better off when we just had to worry about frat George getting behind the wheel of a car when he was drunk.

"Hypocrite" has an "e" on the end. Bush's respect of the constitution or lack there of is a matter of opinion. My opinion, which can be backed up by the fact that certain liberal associations and haters of Bush like the ACLU, for example have done nothing about these ridiculous accusations when they would love to do nothing more than have him impeached. Therefore, your question is moot.

Bush seems to have surrounded himself with yes men. Much like king George before the revolution.

He better watch out...there may still be a Thomas Jefferson or George Washington or John Adams out there just waiting to start the next revolution! God Bless America..

We can openly throw words at him. Under Saddam you couldn't.

Maybe there weren't WMD's there or maybe they have been moved. That isn't relevant today. Can we walk away and not create in our wake something similar to Cambodia's killing fields, or Vietnam's re-education camps?

With today's technology privacy is an illusion. The Supreme court said in the ON TV case any thing in the free air can be captured. Since almost all calls that travel any distance go thru satellites they have to transit free air not HARD WIRE TAP.

I'm surpriced any liberal would even consider using a cell phone!

Well if you listen to what Pat Buchanan is saying on his current booktour, he thinks President Bush should be impeached for not taking care to enforce the laws of the US as they are on the books currently. Buchanan has also alleged that Bush as abandonned the American People to fulfil the wishes of the "one world government".

Yep. And more than that.

He's betrayed his oath of office, which demands that he support and defend the constitution. Ignoring it doesn't quite fit with that goal.

{EDIT to rukidding} Impeachment is the sole province of Congress, starting in the House. Until we elect Congressfolk that will actually do their job, there's not much else we can do.

{EDIT to Pancakes} Are you trying for the Deliberate Blindness award, are just incapable of actually reading about the law?
