I was one. There is no such thing as a "Good Cop" or a "Bad Cop". You have to understand that to nearly all "Cops" it is just a job to feed their family. They really are just there to do the job they were hired to do. They harbor no feelings toward anyone.
Example:
A traffic officer is quietly sitting in his car. He is half asleep from boredom (and he likes it that way). He slowly stares at his watch as he listens to the occasional call in over the radio. Everyone is checking in with base. He prepares to call in when a red Porshe flys by at about 100 MPH. The driver weaves in and out of light traffic and forces a carload of children with their parents onto the side of the road. No injury, 'Thank God for small favors.' He radios in and begins pursuit. After a pullover, the driver curses at the officer and accuses him targeting him. An accusation of racial profiling is thrown at him. What is the officer thinking?
'Man, I am saving this jerk from himself and he is cursing at me.'
'Maybe I should have let this guy kill himself in a traffic accident.'
'No, it is better to get him off the road.'
'He could have killed that family.'
'I wonder if he has drugs.'
'Who else would be stupid enough to mouth off to me?'
'Man it would suck if there were drugs in here.'
'I really don't want this guy in the back of my car.'
'Oh well, it's a living.'
Officers are people too. We have a job that you, the taxpayer, has hired us to do. We want to do a good job and really have no alterior motive. We don't hate you. Most of the time, we are just wondering when our shift ends.

If I had to choose a good cop w/halo, Because there will be a time when COP BASHING will be prevalent. SO I WOULD JUST RATHER NOT BE A COP, THERE ARE TO MANY BAD/CROOKED COPS OUT THERE.
