John Skerry is constantly giving us the link to this site, acting like this is representative of the average liberal.

As you know your private data in lots of place is searchable with a bit of effort. I would support gun registration if the data is tightly guarded. Let say all registrations are put in a lock box. ID is given to each registration and only the IDs are put in a searchable database. When there is a match, only a court order can
pull out the identified registration. The lock box can only be use for this and only this purpose. I think this would the only time that bring the NRA and the ACLU in the same boat.

We don't want to lose our finest and brightest any longer to futile wars in the ME against an ideology. Terrorism is an ideology that can not be beaten on the battle field. It takes finesse, a clear mind and diplomacy to rid ourselves of the brutes of terror. That includes GWB and the NEOCON Hawks.

Assuming you have limited war resources and you want to neutralize nuke threats for a certain period of time. You have the info that presence of nuke threat in Iraq is unsure but very certain in North Korea. Let me see if you pass the test of logic. Let me see if America indeed has the "Freedom To Make the Right Choice". Let me see if America is just a bullie to weakling nations, it chickened out of the North Korea tease.

We do need to be more extreme with our justice system. How many people would steal if they got a finger or hand cut off?
How many people would rape or molest children if they got the death penalty 100 percent of the time?

Gov Thompson re-vamped the welfare system in WI and it's working beautifully. He didn't deny help to those who need it, but welfare should be a temporary situation-WI no longer provides unlimited cash benefits - after a certain period of time W-2 recipients are required to work. AND the State assists you in finding a job. I work in Human Services and a large percentage of those have found full time, good paying jobs and are soooo grateful. Of the minority who are not happy with the present system, well they're still trying to 'work' the system. I've seen my share of those who just REFUSE to work. And there are a greater majority of those who are grateful for the 'help' they received to get back on their feet.

And yes, there are those in the system who can not work, but we are not talking about them........just able bodied people who CAN work--any reason NOT to limit their benefits?

I have always belived that there is no such thing as a stupid question and if someone has taken the risk of asking a question then it should be answered by those who would know or that the answer was unknown.

am I wrong for asuming anyone will respond seriously to questions asked here in this forum and if I am then were is the place were serious grown up conversation about our ever imploding democracy takes place and discusions on how to ratify the current lack of options in the upcoming elections lesser of to evils wont work much longer. were are the sites and what do you think about this topic?
