Just because you don't think there are any stupid questions doesn't make it so. Yes Virginia, there is such a thing as stupid questions and because of that, there are stupid answers.

Sometimes the questions are not serious and/or hostile to begin with.
Sometimes the questions and details are incomprehensible because of poor spelling or grammar.
I try to be serious with serious questions (such as yours). But I'm more than willing to 'poke fun' at people who ask the same question that has been asked dozens of times a day. For example, how many variations on 'Who do you think will win the presidency in 2008?' or 'What happened to Pluto?' can a sane person handle before becoming hostile to the asker.
For example, grammar and spelling problems.
"am I wrong for asuming anyone will respond seriously to questions asked here in this forum and if I am then were is the place were serious grown up conversation about our ever imploding democracy takes place and discusions on how to ratify the current lack of options in the upcoming elections lesser of to evils wont work much longer. were are the sites and what do you think about this topic?"
is too long and rambling to make much sense. Also, some of the [spelling]/[word choices] leaves much to be desired.
"Am I wrong for assuming anyone will respond seriously to questions asked here in this forum? If I am, then where is the place were serious grown up conversation about our ever- imploding democracy takes place? Where are the discussions on how to [ratify?] the current lack of options in the upcoming elections. The lesser of two evils won't work much longer. Where are the sites? What do you think about this topic?"
Is much clearer.
I'm still not sure what you meant by 'ratify'. It means to grant approval. Do you mean 'eliminate lack of choice' or 'expand the number of choices'? [1 hour later] RECTIFY (to fix). You wish to 'rectify' the situation.

There are such things as stupid questions. Don't you think that this question is stupid: Does Congress have to approve all words that go into the American Dictionary? Stupid questions should be answered with stupid answers. YOU need to lighten up. As for the second part of that question, I don't know what you're talking about so I'll leave that to someone who's answer you would approve of.

First part I got. But it depends on the question. There are alot of silly questions, some people just like to be funny.
Second you will need to keep checking the Politics or Current issues folders. There are people looking for serious political discussions.

For me personally,if its a serious question,I'll try to answer it seriously. But I do try to poke fun at MYSELF in here.I think its gr8 if you can give people a little laugh once in a while. But i always keep it clean.
Theres SO MUCH sadness and fear in this world today that I think for some people its a way of getting away from it for a while. It is for me anyway.
But I do believe a serious question deserves a serious answer.

You will find a significant level of immaturity here.
Try a different forum if you do not want to be offended and seek serious thoughtful answers.
