embezzlement. His bail is 10,000.00. I am so afraid for him. I don't understand why he would do such a stupid thing. I'm a single parent and I love my son very much. I have always done the best I could for him. He comes from a good family. I know it's going to cost a fortune to obtain an attorney and I live pay check to pay check. Can anyone give me a little advice regarding what we're going to face in court and how I would go about obtaining a pro bono attorney for such situation? I don't know what to do. Please Help!

I would also like to know how much you trust our gov't on a scale of 1-10. One being, you trust the gov't on everything, no questions asked. Ten being, you are very suspicious toward the US gov't and investigate almost everything for yourself. Thank you for your time.

I was just sitting here thinking about how many people even have a lawyer? Most probably don't.I had a criminal matter 2 years ago in which the judge said could be expunged if I didn't get in anymore trouble. So I go to a different lawyer than the one who originally handled my case and "lawyer B" tells me to go back to "lawyer A".Anyway that's what made me think of this question.Would you say most lawyers don't get much business. It ain't like we're always getting into situations that require legal advice.

I need some legal advice. My daughter is 18 yrs old and has been seeing a boy (17) for the last year. The two of them are crazy about each other. He's been good for her and she's been good for him. The problem is his parents. They've been slandering my daughter, and saying some awful things about her. They've had her in their home, a number of one time. Yet they feel they have the right to say these things. They have said that she has cut his b_lls off, and that the only reason he is with her is that she s_cks his c_ck, and that she has probably done it to 500 guys. His mother even had the nerve to ask if she was pregnant. I'd like to know what my legal options are, as this has gone way too far, and I'm tired of seeing my daughter crying and upset because of these insensitive immature people. Somebody please help!

People always complain about how "the US spends money while people are starving in our streets". It sounds pretty cruel, but is it true?

Internal government corruption, homelessness, aids, cancer, roads, schools, innocent in jails and prisons, tax rates smothering small business and much more. All the while agreeing on the stripping of our personal liberties. Why do they not tackle issues that may help Americans more than Geese restrictions, smoking on a street corner restrictions etc.
In the history of mankind there has usually been a time in every society where a small group of self declared "special people" starts whittling away at the lives of the public in the name of this or that and it has always ended up being too much control and terrible long term results. Are we there?.

My husband and I are preparing to file his paperwork for a family-based adjustment to status. His aunt is having trouble finding her proof of citizenship necessary for the Affidavit of support. My question is, can we send this form in later? Or does it have to be sent in with all the other paper work? Can we send the paperwork in without the proof of citizenship? What would happen at this point? Does the USCIS (INS) immediately deny your case? Or do they give you a grace period to provide the missing information? Do they send you a notification of the missing information?

My wife and I need to set up wills, guardianship for our children if we die, etc... Lawyers will do this for us for $650.00! Right now that is just too much money for us. Are cheap forms that are found online can actually be legally binding? If so, I would like to fill them out just for now. (Later on, when we have money I would like the go thru the lawyer just to be on the safe side)
